just to let everyone know if you can get Eragon the audio book is on youtube . just type in audio book Eragon and it should come up. ps it met be better if you this and not read the book for those who have not diced if they want to join in the read along for next month.

yeah just thought I would let you guys know.
It helps me get through tough books, especially since I remember things better if I hear them instead of seeing them. Lol. Which helps in school :)

I did that for The Help and most of The Heir. I tried with The Death and Life of Charlie St. Cloud but nothing could get me through that book. Lol

I feel you on that Kelsey I set mine kind of high so im like 13 book be hide.
My goal is 50. Yeah, probably not gunna happen, but I don't really care. It's just for fun and to see how far I can get. :)
Yeah, but I've read nowhere near that many.
My goal is 75? I think. I'm almost finished with that, so by October, I'll probably set it to 100.
Sounds good. Few more okays and we'll put it in the poll for October's read.

I was figuring the same way. We all decide on a few candidates and those go in the poll.
Are we reading another book this month?
Oh, I finished it two days ago (October 1st). It was good, but I found the story lacked arc. There was no real rising action, no real climax, and the goal that Eragon had been working towards since the beginning of the book was never completely realized. Still, the world building was good, and the characters were interesting. Considering this was written by a nineteen year old, I think it's pretty good.
But maybe we should start talking about the book for November, if we're doing one then? That way there's plenty of time for us all to agree on what book and also to go out and buy it.
I would suggest that since we read a fantasy book last month we try reading something different this month.. Maybe science fiction?
I'm up for anything. And I'm really sorry about these past months. School has really taken a dump on my head if you know what I mean. I will definitely try to get back into things.
I've already read it, actually.. The first book is good but I find the series got worse over time. The sixth book The Fate Of Ten came out in September and I couldn't even finish it. I does count as Sci-fi though. And if you're looking into reading it, I don't discourage you from doing so, because I did very much enjoy it. I think the main reason it feels less enjoyable now is because the book is because its simple language and not very challenging. I've aged a lot since I originally started the series. It doesn't fit with the other books I'm into reading nowadays.
What about The Martian? It's a Sci-Fi about the first landing on mars; on of the astronauts gets left behind and has to stay alive for four years on mars, alone. The movie is coming out soon (Or did it just come out?) and I've been looking into reading it. It seems interesting. What does everyone think?

I'd be interested to read something paranormal, like fantasy that takes place in the real world (as opposed to high/epic fantasy).
