SOLVED. A poor girl becomes a model and falls in love with a much older photographer [s]

I read this around 2010 but i think the book was already a bit old and its ya. there was a teenage girl living in nyc with a useless mother and a little brother she took care of. One day she crosses a lady on the street who gives her a card saying she could be a model. The girl goes thinking theres nothing to loose and theyre desperate for money. She goes in jeans and they ask her to take them off to see her legs and shes embarrased because her underwear is torn and old. They sign her up and she meets this really pretty blonde girl who takes her to all these parties and she learns that the girl does drugs and has sex with older men in exchange for things.she meets this photographer a 30 year old man and they become friends and she starts to fall for him. He doesnt like his job because hed rather be photographing nore important things. Theres a part where she gets paid and she gets it all in cash and he takes her and her brother to blumingdales and they play around. They kiss and he stresses over the fact that shes a teenager. She later finds out that he took pictures of her and her brother but made them look like starving hopeless kids. She gets mad and stops talking to him and he leaves the country to work for a nature magazine. She becomes more popular as a model and buys an apartment.
thats all i can remember, the cover i read was pink with a girl with short hair facing away.
