I am LOVING this manga series. I've read 3 so far. We have to read 6 for it to count for the challenge... I will definitely be reading all 10 in the series though. The creator so accurately depicts what it is like to navigate through high school friendships and relationships. I am having so much fun reading these.

I'm glad that Jenna really liked these books. I ... didn't. I read all six today for the challenge, and I can sum them up like this: "I'm a teen girl and I really like Boy X! Wow, is he amazing, or what? But Boy X isn't interested in me because he's dating someone else. Boy Y likes me, but I just can't date him because I love Boy X so much. Also, my eyes are huge and round and I look very spacey, especially on the cover of Strobe Edge, Vol. 4." I read them all, but I just could not get into that storyline whatsoever. The parts I liked best were the author's random sidebars with notes about her chinchillas or how mints always make her sneeze.
Fortunately for my patrons, I will be donating all six books to the school library where I work (I had to buy them to read them b/c the public library didn't have them and Barnes&Noble didn't carry them in the store). The teens in my library will eat these up, I'm sure, but I definitely needed a better developed plot and more dimensional characters to enjoy the story.

(The co-op my libraries are in only owns the first three, so I'm trying to get my hands on the last ones, but it's difficult)
Originally it was all 6 to count, but now they all count individually!
This is the first manga series I have ever read. As a teen librarian that may be considered a sin...but on a happier note, Strobe Edge really got me interested in reading more manga! Ninako is so lovable, a little annoying at times, but so relatable to teen girls. Definitely going to read this whole series.
