Karanveer | 7 comments I just started reading it and find the constant looking up of nadsat words annoying. What was your experience while reading this book? Did you just go through the book without looking up the words (and somehow figure out the plot), or did you get fully engrossed in the nadsat language?

In hindsight, I have to admit that once you start memorizing some of the words, reading the book becomes a lot more fun.

Sherin Punnilath (shery_7) | 7330 comments I had intended to take it from the library a number of times ;but always decided against it reading the blurb :p

Karanveer | 7 comments May I ask what part of the blurb made you decide not read it?

I too tried reading it, and failed miserably. This was a long time ago (atleast 2-3 years ago). May take it up again.

Sudheer Kumar (sudheerkumar) | 122 comments i read the book after watching the movie(one of my all time favs)...but the book was even more entertaining and had a better ending than the movie....had a bit difficulty understanding nadsat initially...ppl maybe put off by the violence and nadsat could be annoying at times. It could be tht watching the movie first made me enjoy the book even better...:)

Indiabookstore | 81 comments This is one of the most difficult books I have ever read, and like you Karanveer I was quite annoyed by it at times. I liked the book- but in one of those rare cases, I think the movie was better.
