Grampy (goodreadscomgrampy) Alas, it is sage advice I must also echo.

Don't put off tomorrow what you can do today! That would be one helluva story if you and Robert both collaborated and wrote together. I might even give up my notion not to read short stories!

I think so too...maybe even Grampy could huddle up to the table!

message 57: by Robert (new)

Robert Roberts (goodreadscomrobertroberts) Yes KC my work is out there for everyone to read, but no one reads it. Lol...that's the downside of writing. You have to write for your own enjoyment, or you might as well forget it.

message 58: by Grampy (new)

Grampy (goodreadscomgrampy) Alas, I have to concur with THAT comment, too!

I do love to pull people into a world I've created. I think the shock and ah effect is what I strive for...lol I want to make he brave scared, the depressed happy, the cynacle believe, and the busy sit down and devour my pages without the thought of what they should be doing instead!

That is my goal and come hell or high water...I will get there!

I am still hunting heads!

message 61: by Holly (new)

Holly (goldikova) Is anyone else bothered by the odor of all these rotting headless corpses? They will be writhing with maggots soon.....I imagine executions are a lot less gross in winter.

message 62: by Grampy (new)

Grampy (goodreadscomgrampy) Maybe for now they could just lose a limb or two. Then if they don't straighten up and fly right they could be executed when the weather is cooler. It would smell better, and might even show one or two stalkers the error of their ways.

Besides, you need 10 legs for every bowling head. That alone argues in favor of numerous dismemberments for every decapitation. But then you also want a good selection of heads so each bowler can find the right one... oh, never mind. This is all too complex for me!

Slay on!

message 63: by Robert (new)

Robert Roberts (goodreadscomrobertroberts) There is no shortage of lurkers in this group. We could execute 10 a week for a year and still have plenty to choose from. No, they don't deserve to be maimed and get a second chance, off with their heads.

I will concede to your point and withdraw my suggestion. It was at best an attempt to minimize the smell, but Kathryn's suggestion to grab a jar of Vick's resolves that problem quite satisfactorily.

message 66: by Robert (new)

Robert Roberts (goodreadscomrobertroberts) Yes your right. I saw on Lieutenant Joe Kenda on the I.D. channel use that when he goes to a crime scene.

I also agree...This subject has been brought up at least twice that I know of since I've been a memeber...so I think they have already had their chance. More heads will roll this weekend! VICKS FOR EVERYONE!

It is very nostalgic. The aroma always takes me back to the days when I worked for horse trainers and had to smear Vicks inside the nostrils of every horse before a race.

I do, too. Also, Ben Gay. Can you still buy that?

message 73: by Grampy (new)

Grampy (goodreadscomgrampy) I've found Castiva (the hot formula, not the cool one) works far better than anything else I've tried for joint and muscle pain. DO NOT put it in your nose, though, or you will discover a whole new level of pain!

LOVE IT!

I must apologize for slacking on my slaying...I am trying to raise money to repel off a 10 storie hotel in Binghamton for Catholic Charities on the 21st of August.

Elvira and I are still hungry for more heads, however, so let's go a hunting! MWAHAHAHAHA!

Remember "My Big Fat Greek Wedding"? "Put a little Windex on it"? Well, for people from the Dom Republic, Vicks is their Windex. They think "BeeBop orú¨will cure anything!

Elvira and I have hunted down and gleefully slayen 41 more oblivious lurkers!

Kathy is now stiring the boiling pot of bobbing heads and foaming at the mouth with a hungry stomach.

Robert can be heard among st the many lifeless bodies singing his favorite tune as he ushers them into a mass grave..." They're eyes bob in, they're eyes bob out, More heads will roll, there is no doubt. Month by month Elvira hums while cries of dread ebb out they're lungs..."

Kathy is now setting the huge table that will invite all the villagers of Scardey Cat to the feast, carefully placing one small container of Vicks at the left of every plate!

Oh, please tell me you arent putting the heads in the mass grave.......there are so many decorative uses for skulls! Can the surviving members get some of the skulls? I'm planning a big Halloween party this year and I need like.......a lot of them.

Thanks Aileen, I hit post before I realized you were the one that was supposed to be setting the table...lol

So this ones for you and Kathy!

Evening is beginning to fall on the feast of heads. Aileen brandishes her tiny torch to light the candles she has carefully set in the vacant eye sockets of the newly departed heads she has placed at every table.
