"Ghost Girl" I really enjoyed that saga. I think an animation movie would be best. If it's kind of like "Coraline" even better.

It does sound cinematic. I posted a list of authors whose books I thought were good for Netflix, etc, more in the mystery and suspense vein. But your post made me think there should be a GR group moderated by people who acquired material for movies - a group called something like "Elevator Pitch" where you could pitch your work to them in under 100 words.
Amazon Studios used to have a site they shut down, the idea was they would take a pitch from anyone and I think picked up one or two screenplays from people on the group.
I just saw that Artimis from Andy Weir had been bought for movie purposes and that makes me SOOO HAPPY!!!!! I've read it twice and might do it again just cuz I love it so much!

Holly Jackson books (like the reappearance of Rachel Prince, or the Good Girls Guide to Murder)
Across the Universe Trilogy by Beth Revis
these have been some of my favorite reads the last couple years that are not movies, yet! (I honestly listen to a lot of audio books that are books that have been made into movies because its easier for me to follow)
