Nick shook his head as he carried her back into the house and set her on the coach. "No, baby.... I don't want someone human. I want you just how you are. You don't have to change anything... I love you how you are." He told her sitting down on the coffee table in front of her as he tried calming her.

Ruby looked at him. "Nick if I let go that will affect you too. You will feel it. Fighting it is hard Nick. I don't want you end up like this. I'm crazy and emotional because I'm trying to be human. I feel your emotions and it makes it harder for me to fight too. This whole situation is my fault."

" He told her running a hand down her check, hoping it would help comfort her more. Seeing as his words weren't doing it this time.

Ruby started to relax him. "Okay." She whispered softly. "Please help me let go." She said. "Your emotions are so strong." Calming down a lot. "Please Nick I don't know if I can let go." She was afraid. "I really want to try to be a human for you."

Seeing as he wasn't asking her to be, he loved her just the way she was. So why she was trying to become more human with her feelings and all he had no idea. Nick let out a deep breath looking in on himself. And trying once more to let go so that she could too in return. Finally finding it in himself to do it. Even though he could still sense his human side now it wasn't as strong as it had been before. Looking at her once again. "Then force yourself not to become like them... I love you how you are. passionate, Loyal, smart, funny,---- everything that makes you-- you. I don't want you to become like them. Always not being able to choose, what you want to do. Always listening to what I want and doing what makes me happy when it might not make you happy. Fight it. If nothing else fight it for us. For our family."

Ruby looked at him. "Nick we always find our way back to each other. Our connection is growing powerful and I can handle that. Nick I'm growing weaker." She whispered. "Each day I feel weaker and weaker. I feel like I'm at a brinking point. I need you to erase my memories of you and Avery. I need you to press the restart button. I know this is something you don't want to do. This will be our redo. We will get another chance at us. We won't mess up this time." Ruby said. "I'm sorry for asking of this of you." Looking down some. She didn't want to become like them and this is the only way she could prevent it. "I love you and my daughter so much I can't become like them."

Nick thought he would give anything if he didn't have to erase her memory of them. But he also knew that she didn't want to become like the other female vampires. Where they became brainless and did everything there mates told them to do. And he could say that he didn't want her to become that either. He loved her, for her. Not for who she would turn into. But she was right.. she had said that if they could go back and do it all over again she would want that. Would want to get to know him for who he was and for him to do the same to her in return. Where as they hadn't been able to do that when they had first meet. They had been somewhat pushed together right away without even getting to know each other first. But at least if he did this, and erased her memories they would have that first chance again. Maybe even have a better relationship because of it. Reaching out and resting a hand on her check nodding. "You're right... I don't want to do it. But I will, because I know how much you don't want to become like them. And if we're lucky we'll find our way back to each other."

Maybe he'd put an add out for a babysitter like she'd said. Seeing as it only seemed right. And then it might jog her memory and she'd come for the interview. He thought as he finished taking them.

Ruby felt her memories being erase. Hearing the words I love you, but confused on what he was talking.Then everything was blank. She was closed her eyes softly passing out giving him time to figure out how she would meet again. She heard a loud crying noise she started to stir some. Other than that she felt peaceful.

Nick heard Avery starting to cry. Letting out a deep breath as he tried to think of a way for them to meet again. Deciding on the babysitter thing. It would be the best way to go, he thought. Trying to come up with how he would explain to her that she was here when she woke up and how she'd gotten here. Seeing her move slightly but nothing more.

The cry started to grow louder. Avery wanted her mother to hold her. Ruby heard the loud crying noise. Opening her eyes as she quickly looked around nervously. Seeing a strange guy sitting there looking at her. "Who are you?" She asked noticing her knee she must have scrapped it or something. It was bleeding pretty badly. "I think I was on my way for an interview for a babysitting job. Is this place?" That was the only thing clear. Everything was so fuzzy in her head she couldn't really remember what had happened. I'm so confused. She thought to herself unaware that he could hear her thoughts and sense it. As well as the fact that her bloody knee was probably distracting him.

Nick had blocked out the smell of her blood coming from her knee. Seeing as if he was going to pull this off he needed to focus and not be distracted by the smell of her blood. "I'm who advertised for the babysitter. Yeah this is the place, you seemed really tired when you got here so I offered if you'd like to lay down and rest while I finished what I was doing." He explained .

"Oh thank you so very much." Ruby smiled. "I hope you don't mind me asking, but where is the mom? I mean it must be hard for a single dad raising a baby." She said hearing the crying. "Can I see the baby? It sounds like he or she is upset." For some reason Ruby wanted to say she, but that would have been weird, because it could be a boy. "I charge $50 a day. I'm sorry if that's a little much I don't have any place to stay since I'm new it town. Oh my name is Ruby." She said with a smile and put out her hand.

Nick smiled, reaching out his hand and shaking hers. "The mom left, a couple days after the baby was born... Of cross. Come on and I'll show you her. I'm Nick by the way." Nodding his head about the fifty dollars a day. He had enough money and seeing as it was Ruby, he didn't mind. "Oh it's fine, I understand about the pay. I actually started out the same way." He explained as they headed up the stairs to go check on Avery.

Ruby nodded. "That's really sad." She whispered. "It must be hard to raise a baby girl. I mean or boy." Shaking it off. As they got closer she felt a pull to his baby. She wanted to protect her and comfort her. "Okay." She whispered softly. Going ahead of him finding the nursery and walking in. Automatically picking up the baby girl. "Hi how's the little princess." Avery curled in her mother and giggled. Ruby smiled at the her laughs. She didn't want to put her down. Glancing at the bottle she picked it up and started to feed her. This it wrong I shouldn't be doing this to a strangers baby. I just don't want to put her down. I have to take care of her. Despite not remembering she still had mother's instinct and part of it was Avery luring her in. "What's her name?" Ruby asked.

Nick smiled upon seeing Ruby start caring for Avery so easily. Despite her not remembering anything it seemed so natural to her. Stopping at the door to watch her with thei--- his daughter. For a moment before walking in and going to stand by the both of them as he watched her feed Avery. Smiling as he saw how easily Avery had calmed down for her. "I think she likes you.... Avery." He told her watching as she fed her with such ease. "It was, for a little while but it's gotten easier."

Ruby smiled. "You think so?" She asked softly. Putting the bottle down and she burped her. "I'm sorry I hope you find someone to help raise her. She deserves a mother." Her heart melted towards Avery. "I didn't mean to come in here and do this. I just felt like I had too. I know that sounds really weird, but I just feel like I have to hold her and protect her. If thats to weird I can leave." Ruby said not wanting to put her down or even leave for that matter.

Nick smiled slightly looking down at the floor as he did so. That sounded so much like his Ruby. Nodding as he looked back up. "Yeah, I think so... No it's okay. I can't really complain about that. Seeing as everyone else that's tried out for the job she'd hated so far. It doesn't sound weird, it sounds like a mother instinct. Do you have any children of your own?" He asked knowing it wasn't really any of his business seeing as she was trying out for a job as a baby sitter for Avery. But he had to play the part he was given. "I'm sorry,--- you don't have to answer that if you don't want too."

Ruby looked at Avery and sat her down on the changing table. "No I don't have any children. I honestly really haven't thought about kids. I would want to be married and be at least 25 in the ideal world, but if I meant the one. The person I'm suppose to be with then it wouldn't matter." Quickly changing Avery. "This little princess couldn't hate anyone." She whispered softly tickling her belly. Smiling at the giggle that came from her. "It just feels like I have this connection. I'm sorry this is getting weird. Maybe I should just leave."

Nick hadn't really expected her to answer the question about having her own children. Seeing as well--- he just hadn't. Thinking that 25 would be perfect for him too, even though he was only 19 with a child to raise now because of getting her pregnant. But he didn't regret that at all because he loved Avery to much to ever regret having her. Smiling when he heard Avery's little giggle from having her tummy tickled. "I was actually hoping to interview you a little more, before you left. And get your contact number just in case I need to call you for any other reason. If that's okay with you, that is."

Ruby picked her up and sat her down in the bed. "Yeah okay. I don't really have any contact number or any address for that matter." She whispered. "I'm sorry I think this might now work. I just feel really weird." Ruby looked down. "Am I creeping you out? I'm a complete stranger who feels like she needs to protect your baby." She was so confused by all of this. Avery started to cry again wanting her mother again. "I don't want to intrude."

"Well is there someplace I can reach you at? Like a hotel number or something? I could call the front desk, instead of the room....." He said sensing that she was kind of creeping herself out by her reaction to Avery and how she wanted to protect her and everything without really knowing why. "No, I like that your so intuitive with her. It'll help with watching her if you get the job." He said not wanting to seem like he was just giving her the job just because.

Ruby smiled softly. "No I'm in the middle of finding a place to stay." She turned to Nick. "Does this make it difficult?" She asked. "I'm sorry, I really want this job. Avery is just an angel and I would love to take care of her and help out. There really isn't any places out their on the market right now." Wishing that something was clear other than the fact that she had to get this job.

It was true, that would make things more difficult. Seeing as now he had no way to get a hold of her again, if he ever needed her to come back and watch Avery. Letting out a deep breath as he considered his options. He could let her stay in one of the spare rooms, or the gust house. Even though it wasn't really common to have the person you were interviewing to watch your baby stay in the house with you. Although then again, it would show her what a normal day with Avery was like. Rubbing his hand back an forth on his chin feeling that he had grown a little scruff there threw out the day. As he thought. Finally saying seeing as she seemed trustworthy enough. "How about this, I have guest rooms here, and a guest house. If you'd like you can stay in one of them until you find a place of your own. It'll help you out, and that way you can see what a normal day like Avery is like. I only have two more interviews to hold. But I'll be doing them at the coffee shop down the street tomorrow. Seeing as they couldn't make it here for me to hold the interview."

Ruby nodded her head slowly. "Okay thank you, I will stay in the guest house. I won't be a bother." Hearing that he two more interviews to do she felt her heart crash. "I thought I saw a glimpse of the house when I walked up to your house." She said. "So I'm going to go check it out." She smiled faintly and quickly walked out of the room to find the guest house when she reached there she open the door. Slumping to the floor she let the tears fall down to her cheeks. "What am I doing? I feel like I have to be there for kid that isn't mine and there is a chance that I won't be her babysitter." Ruby said to herself crying. "I'm so confused everything is confusing."

Nick was sure that she wouldn't be a bother, and even if she was slightly he wouldn't blame her. Plus there was a good chance that the other two wouldn't even show seeing as it had been a week sense he had posted the job in the paper and in all that time he had only had three of the ten actually show up for the interviews. So there was a good chance that she'd get the job anyways. Wishing her a good night as he took Avery and laid her down for bed when she walked out.

Ruby closed her eyes and fell asleep waking up early in the morning wondering what she should do. Her eyes were red and swollen from crying. She was afraid that she wouldn't get to see Avery not to mention not really remembering anything at all. Walking past the pool where she landed the other day. Her faced pale something didn't seem right about this spot shaking it off. Deciding to make him breakfast. She made waffles for herself and pancakes for him with bacon and eggs. Ruby wasn't sure if he liked coffee, but she was pretty sure he didn't.

Nick had; had a long night. After she had gone to the guest house Avery had slept for two hours and then had woke up crying around 1 in the morning. He had somehow finally manged to get her back to sleep an hour later and had gone back to bed after making sure that she was asleep. Only to hear her crying again around 4 or 5, going in and finding that her dipper needed changing. Thankfully after that she had slept the rest of the night even though he had kept waking up expecting to hear her crying again. Rolling over and taking in a deep breath as he debated about rather or not to call off the interviews and reschedule them. Deciding that it would be better just to get it out of the way than wait and do it another time. Seeing as Ruby pretty much already had the job nailed. Sitting up as he rubbed his eyes and swiped the baby montier as he headed for the bathroom then headed down stairs to find some breakfast.

Ruby heard Nick. "I hope you like pancakes with eggs and bacon. I also have a glass of orange juice too. You didn't seem like a waffle or a coffee person." She smiled softly. "I hope you didn't mind I was bored and hungry so I kinda of helped myself. I will repay you back with everything I used." Looking up at Nick. "Are you feeling okay?" She asked softly. She was a generally nice and person. Nick was really cute. Why do I think he is cute? I can't think he is cute. He might be boss. Isn't that wrong to like your boss? A million questions went through her head not realizing she was sending these thoughts to Nick. Just look down Ruby, Nick might be your boss and its wrong to think of him as cute. "Good morning." She forced her mouth to say.

Nick rubbed his face as he plopped down at the kitchen island where she had set up everything. Taking a long sip of his oj before cutting into the pancakes. Taking a moment to fully wake up hearing her thoughts and giving a smile. "Thanks... yeah, just tired. Didn't get much sleep last night. How'd you sleep?" He asked wanting a change in topic seeing as it was to early to talk--- or even think about the repayment. They could always talk about that later.

Ruby looked down at her waffles. "I slept really well." She said lying. Besides the me crying and me being so confused. I slept well. He probably thinks I'm a crazy person for being so lost and confused. Did he smile at me or breakfast? I think he is cute, I can't really like him because I just meant him "Rocking her will make her fall asleep. She seems to really like it. I mean she seems like a baby that likes to be rock." I probably just messed up everything. Take a deep breath. I have to get this job why I don't know, but I do. Good thing he can't hear my thoughts.

"Glad to hear it... I did but she just wouldn't go to sleep. I finally got her to sleep around 2 in the morning. And then had to get up again at 5 to change her. Thankfully though she's been asleep for a while. But she'll be waking up soon." He said hearing everything that she thought, choosing not to comment on any of it seeing as that would only freak her out.

Grace was couching down behind the bushes that was by the border that lead to the compound. Looking over at Raven as she heard her move. "We can't just sit here... we need to get him out of there." It had been driving her crazy ever sense they had finalized the plan. Get in without being detected, find Will and get him out. It was that simple. She knew all the guard change times and yet they were still sitting her. It had been almost a week sense she had last seen her mate. Even though it felt a lot longer than that to her. At least Raven and her had come to agreement and she was willing to help get him out. How long the agreement would last though, she didn't know. Although she doubted it would last any longer once Will was safe and back with them.

"I'm sorry I don't know Avery I don't know why I'm even saying these things or why I am even here. I don't know how I know that you like pancakes and oj. Or how that spot by the pool seemed like a really bad spot. I don't know how I know you use to play football and that you like Burger King. I don't know why I feel like I can tell you anything. I'm also confused on how I know that you didn't feed in the past 24 hours whatever that means. I just moved here and I feel like I know you guys."

Nick had taken one bite and swallowed before stopping and looking up. Not knowing how to answer any of that. Seeing as he couldn't really tell her that they knew each other and that she had asked him to get ride of her memories of him and Avery. If it had just been about Avery and what babies like and dislike he could of wrote it off as she was just good with kids and babies. But seeing as it was everything else... he couldn't really explain that away. "I don't know...... "

Ruby looked down."I should go thank you for your hospitality I appreciate it very much. I hope you find someone that can take really good care of your daughter, but I don't think I'm the right fit." Gathering herself she quickly started to head to the front door. Tears rolled down her cheeks. I should have kept everything to myself, then I still might have a chance for job. This is why you don't trust people Ruby.Well I'm glad I didn't close to him then I would have gotten hurt.I'm a crazy nut bag. Feeling the pain in her leg. It looked infected she swore under her breath.

Nick noticed that she had a slight limp that he hadn't noticed earlier. Getting up from his seat at the island and starting to fallow her. Asking "Is your leg okay? I couldn't help but notice...." Wanting to make sure that it was before she left. If not he'd find someway to make her stay to make sure her leg healed.
