Just finished. What a great book. (view spoiler)[ I'm glad we learned more about the queen. I knew she came from a poor background. She was so happy about Maxon setting up a feeding place for the poorer citizens. I was shocked about America and Aspen. I would rather she be with Maxon. (hide spoiler)] Does this book make anyone else think of Red Queen? I know this book came out first, but I read Red Queen first.
I'm ready to start the next book whenever you guys are ready.

I love America!! She is not whiny and annoying like a lot of girls in this kind of book, probably why I am enjoying it so much.

Thanks Renee. I will have to get that one. I really like the queen. I love America as well. I love her honesty, and the fact that even though she's not "there for the crown" as most the other girls are she is really trying to get to know Maxon. She is very humble, and appreciative.

I really want Aspen and Marley to get together, I wonder what her secret is? Then there is this part of me that thinks the princes completely plain her, I really hope that is not the case! Started a tiny Little bit after finishing The Young Elites on my flight yesterday. I am at 1% but I already like it so much better that The Young Elites. (view spoiler)[ This is more along the lines of Katniss of The Hunger Games I presume. Teenage girl from a lower social class who has to enter a competition, game or similar and doesn't know yet what special talents, good looks or strength she has. I am really interested to find out how this will continue. Had to work today and then do the mommy thing. Now watching TV with the hubby but hope to get in some reading in bed later! Yes, back from sunny Malta. Although it is quite nice here in Germany too. But unfortunately not so much time to read like on holiday. I work part-time and have two daughters where I have to Play taxi Mom and drive them to their activities in the afternoon, take care of homework etc. Only have time to read in bed...

You guys don't live in America, but we have a television show called The Bachelor, it is a reality television show where either one guy or one girl pics someone to propose to from 25 people of the opposite sex, this book just so reminds me of the show, it is funny :-) just thought I'd put that out there ;-) I am on chapter 27 of The Elite
(view spoiler)[ now the prince is playing games, although I think it is his turn, America has no idea which boy she wants to be with, and this is yes still bothering me. Not sure about all the politics in the book, and honestly I don't even care come it is just a fun read and I don't want to get all wrapped up and political things, but I guess it needs to have some kind of substance to be valid to some people. Really what I meant about the politics is some people have said it doesn't make sense, what I'm saying is it doesn't matter if it doesn't make sense I like the book in spite of that, does that make sense? Almost done with The Elite

Just finished. I agree Berit. She needs to make a choice and stick to it. I guess she needs a back up plan. I don't particularly like either guy more than the other. They both have major flaws.
