The book isn't next to me atm so I'll have a check later. Since the book is around 300 pages, maybe aim for 30-50 pages a day? (~1 hour reading)

Chapter 1 was quite weird and the girls are definitely not realistic characters... they care about lost shoes (and what brand they are) and ruined clothing and what they want to become... it's funny but strange! (hide spoiler)]

Right now, I really don't see how they can posibly survive. Instead of conserving energy and wather they decided to practice for the pagent. The fuck?

Ok, this is getting a little boring. Also, very unrealistic. You can't catch fish with flattening irons. The girls in the book might be stupid, but don't assume your readers are as well....

WTF is up with Mary Lou and Tane? If he has a boat shouldn't she ask him to help them get off the island? I think that would probably be the first priority before having wild sex with him every night and... you know... falling in love Q.Q.

Taylor was shoot with sleeping darts, but he just decided to let her there? Also, why not kill them all in the first place? Why risk all this complications.

There are still tons of funny parts, but I just think this book goes too far. It concentrated too much on the funny and not enough on the actual story <.<. (hide spoiler)]

I don't understand how they could suddenly tell it was he was in fact that famous singer guy after the saw his junk but didn't even suspect beforehand. That just doesn't add up! I have to say I'm bored. I don't really like any of the girls and the plot is confusing. What the heck is up with this spy thing and the mysterious Corporation!? (hide spoiler)]

It's set in the present, but it's an alternative reality where everything regarding what it means to be beautiful is exaggerated. People are stupid and the Corporation represents all the huge American multinationals that exploit other country in order to bring cheap and useless products to the US nation.

Looks that it didn't. But this book is so much "Fu logic" that I don't even want to start and enumerate everything that doesn't make sense in it.

Yeah, you're not missing much. If you want spoilers to the story let me know. I'm sure I can give you a more logical summary than if you would have read the book till the end XD.

In the end, I did gave it 2 stars because it did make me laugh (for the first half anyway). Then it got too stupid even for me to handle. (hide spoiler)]

I don't tend to buy paperbacks really, well not brand new ones anyway. The only time I buy books is when I go op-shopping! You get books for no more than $5 (normally about $2) and if show my student card I get a further 20% discount. This only cost me $2.50 for the hardback copy. I cannot really complain about that! :)

I got to about 100 pages in and had to quit, the writing and the people just weren't for me :/ I've looked at the reviews and it seems to be a bit of a love it or hate it book. I hope you guys are enjoying it!

(view spoiler)[ I'm trying not to laugh at how dumb some of these girls are. I'm a little upset with the author because she has the beauty contestants acting dumb and in reality some might be but not all. I have a few friends who compete in these and they are smart. Most have above a 3.5 GPA.
