I had the best time. It was so hot down there that I spent 95% of my time in the pool and even then the water was almost as hot.

Review:

Jane Yellowrock, vampire hunter, is in Louisiana under contract. Hired by a very old vampire, she is hunting a rogue that has been killing humans and vampires alike. But is it a vampire that she's hunting or something else?

What a ride! I can't believe I waited so long to read this. Jane is a mix of some my favorite heroines, Kate Daniels, Mercy Thompson, Gin Blanco. She is sarcastic, ballsy, deadly, and Other. Hiding her true self, even though she doesn't know exactly what that is. We learn about her as she does and the Cherokee Lore only added to the story. I'm definitely looking forward to hearing more from Beast. And maybe some romantic interest? One can hope!

Already I want to dive into the next one. It didn't end with a cliffhanger so much as unresolved issues that promise another fascinating story. It's always refreshing to find a new UF series that I love and this one made it to my must read soon pile.

Looks like Team 1 has won this round. If it's all the same I think I'm going to pass on reading the last book I have a few other challenges I need to get caught up on.
