message 151: by Jessica (new)

Jessica I cant really remember because it was a long time ago. But I do remember it had nice weather because every day my family would go for walks and the park a lot. And that they had a nice park. We went everyday.

message 152: by Meagan (new)

Meagan That seems really nice! (Sorry to jump in...) I wish it was warm, so far spring hasn't sprung quite yet.

message 153: by Jessica (new)

Jessica When is spring? I thought we were in summer already.

message 154: by Meagan (new)

Meagan Well for me anyway, spring was suppose to start on the 20th. But maybe its different for different places, I have no idea haha.

Jessica I really hate when you watched a really good movie and then years later you remember it, want to watch it, but can't even remember the name to it.

message 156: by Meghan (new)

Meghan | 227 comments That happens to me with books too.

message 157: by [deleted user] (new)

I hate to interrupt the conversation but I have a question: How do I get others to come and read the writings that I have posted -- poetry, short stories, etc? Thanks for the suggestions in advance!

message 158: by Meghan (new)

Meghan | 227 comments Sorry i can't answer your question Melissa I don't know much about writing on goodreads. And speaking of sorry you don't have to apologize you're not interrupting anything

message 159: by [deleted user] (new)

Thanks, Meghan! Since I'm still pretty new here I have done a lot of exploring today and I think I'm starting to figure things out a little more. Well, I THINK so anyway! haha! I'm having fun though and that's the most important part! :)

message 160: by Theemmaolsen (new)

Theemmaolsen | 75 comments Yeah when I joined it was sort of overwhelming at first, but now I love it! As for the writing thing- I wouldn't know but maybe you could find a group of writers and you could share with them?

message 161: by [deleted user] (new)

Thank you! I'm trying to explore and comment on others' writings as well .. maybe that will generate some interest for them to come look at my poetry and short stories. Ya never know?

message 162: by Theemmaolsen (new)

Theemmaolsen | 75 comments No I get it! If someone was to comment on something I had written I would certainly check them out!

message 163: by [deleted user] (new)

Thanks! I probably read more than I actually write. I haven't written anything NEW in a while but went through some old stuff and posted under Creative Writing. Even if no one ever comments I am still having a blast reading other peoples' posts, comments, etc. Love Goodreads!

message 164: by Theemmaolsen (new)

Theemmaolsen | 75 comments Me too! My favorite part is the reviewing and recommendations. I like telling everyone what I think, and I also continually struggle with finding books to read.

message 165: by [deleted user] (new)

Well, I try to tell my husband what I think but he never listens! HAHA!! I know what you mean though. I try not to take any comments that I may receive on my writing personally -- as long as it is constructive criticism I welcome it!! I have tons and tons of paperbacks that will take me forever to read! I just love books!

message 166: by Theemmaolsen (new)

Theemmaolsen | 75 comments Oh same! I'm reading one right now called Shiver and I just love it because I feel like it's an escape. That's why I love books.

message 167: by [deleted user] (new)

Me too on the escape thing! I admit though, I have been here toodling around more than I have been reading though! haha!

message 168: by Meghan (new)

Meghan | 227 comments Shiver is so good! Maggie Stiefvater is my favorite author of all time.

message 169: by Theemmaolsen (new)

Theemmaolsen | 75 comments I know right? I'm only on page 60 or something but it's still good and sooo descriptive.

message 170: by Meghan (new)

Meghan | 227 comments Maggie's writing style is just so lyrical. i love it.

message 171: by Theemmaolsen (new)

Theemmaolsen | 75 comments I agree! Are the other books in the Wolves of Mercy Falls trilogy as good as Shiver?

message 172: by Meghan (new)

Meghan | 227 comments Yeah they're all good. Plus she's writing another book about two of my favorite characters, one of whom isn't introduced until linger so I'm thinking you don't who he is.

message 173: by Theemmaolsen (new)

Theemmaolsen | 75 comments Cool!

message 174: by Amanda (new)

Amanda (Elmira001) So anybody go see Divergent yet? I'm going tonight

message 175: by Theemmaolsen (new)

Theemmaolsen | 75 comments I'm going this weekend with my best friend!!

message 176: by Theemmaolsen (new)

Theemmaolsen | 75 comments I think pretty soon...

message 177: by Amanda (new)

Amanda (Elmira001) Divergent was epic. It stayed mostly true to the book.
