Theemmaolsen | 75 comments Every author has their own style, it's true. Massive change of subject but have y'all read The Hunger Games?

message 102: by Meghan (new)

Meghan | 227 comments Who hasn't at this point? But yeah it's a good book.

message 103: by Theemmaolsen (new)

Theemmaolsen | 75 comments Yeah I really love them. Did you see Catching Fire?

message 104: by Amanda (new)

Amanda (Elmira001) Lol, one of my friends just read them. And we were talking about books and love triangles so it's really only a slight change of subject

message 105: by Meghan (new)

Meghan | 227 comments Yeah, I thought it was good. Especially considering how popular they are and how many elements make the series, I think they've done a good job at turning the books into movies.

message 106: by Amanda (new)

Amanda (Elmira001) I haven't seen catching fire yet, but have heard it's good

message 107: by Meghan (new)

Meghan | 227 comments K, so am I the only person who hasn't read Allegiant yet?

message 108: by Jessica (new)

Jessica I havent . I just skipped to the end to see what happens.

message 109: by Meghan (new)

Meghan | 227 comments I said something to my friend who had it spoiled for her like "they can't kill tris off" and she just gave me a funny look

message 110: by Rhoda (new)

Rhoda Bean | 3 comments Reading Degree of Guilt by Richard North Patterson - enjoy his books, this is a legal thriller.

message 111: by Theemmaolsen (new)

Theemmaolsen | 75 comments I skimmed a huge part of Allegiant because I got bored and needed to see what happened.

message 112: by Jessica (new)

Jessica I started skimming at the middle of insurgent because it was getting boring.

message 113: by Theemmaolsen (new)

Theemmaolsen | 75 comments I just didn't read Insurgent. I figured out what happened anyway, so I didn't realm need to.

message 114: by Jessica (new)

Jessica I thought the series would be really good because I read the first one and it was good, so I bought all three books and it was a waste, I couldn't even finish them.

message 115: by Meghan (new)

Meghan | 227 comments There has been so much hype around the series and so many people have said they love them. Although I enjoyed them, I haven't been obsessed.

message 116: by Jessica (new)

Jessica Me neither. There's a lot of books that are better.

message 117: by Theemmaolsen (new)

Theemmaolsen | 75 comments I enjoyed the first one, but not the rest of the series.

message 118: by Jessica (new)

Jessica Same

message 119: by Jessica (new)

Jessica I think a lot of people got into it because they saw that a movie was coming out of it

message 120: by Theemmaolsen (new)

Theemmaolsen | 75 comments I really want to see how they adapt the book into a movie!

message 121: by Meghan (new)

Meghan | 227 comments If you could live in any book setting, real or fake, where would it be?

message 122: by Theemmaolsen (new)

Theemmaolsen | 75 comments Probably the setting from Jane Austen novels, even though it'd be really different. I'd like to come from a wealthy family if I lived in that time though.

message 123: by Jessica (new)

Jessica In the infernal devices. Victorian times and being a shadowhunter.

message 124: by Amanda (new)

Amanda (Elmira001) Ugh, I just finished the first 3 mortal instruments. Will someone tell why precisly, everyone likes these books?

message 125: by Theemmaolsen (new)

Theemmaolsen | 75 comments I haven't read them and don't want to. Any book about demons is a no-go for me.

message 126: by Amanda (new)

Amanda (Elmira001) I started reading them! because a friend recommended them, but I just don't see it. There isn't anything spectacularly amazing or unique about them. And I still have the last one to get to

Jessica Amanda wrote: "Ugh, I just finished the first 3 mortal instruments. Will someone tell why precisly, everyone likes these books?"

The infernal devices is a better series than the mortal instruments.

message 129: by Amanda (new)

Amanda (Elmira001) I've heard that

message 130: by Jessica (new)

Jessica Its already march, its going so fast. Not that long ago it was january. Better like that though. Can't wait for summer break.

message 131: by Theemmaolsen (new)

Theemmaolsen | 75 comments I know right?? I just have 3 more months! Thank God!

message 132: by Meghan (new)

Meghan | 227 comments The thing I hate about break is that it's never the entire summer. In Connecticut we have to go 180 days, but everything got pushed back because we had 5 snow days. So we only have two weeks of June at most, July, and by the end of August we're back in school.

message 133: by Theemmaolsen (new)

Theemmaolsen | 75 comments We go until the end of May and then start midway through August.

message 134: by Meghan (new)

Meghan | 227 comments Has anyone ever tried acting or anything?

message 135: by Megan, The Calm Mod (new)

Megan | 44 comments hi

message 136: by Theemmaolsen (new)

Theemmaolsen | 75 comments Yeah, I have. It was fun but I never really got back into it.

message 137: by Jessica (new)

Jessica I can't act at all. I'm an easy person to read.

message 138: by Amanda (new)

Amanda (Elmira001) I do lots of theater. It's fun

message 139: by Nishith (new)

Nishith Vasavada (sakoon) | 2 comments Hi, everyone. My novel Sakoon is on salve for $1.99 this week! Hope you pass the word. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00EPX7VGE
Sakoon by Nishith Vasavada

message 140: by Theemmaolsen (new)

Theemmaolsen | 75 comments Yeah me too. The only reason I'm not reading with them now is because I've already read Mockingjay.

message 141: by Meagan (new)

Meagan Hi people!

message 142: by Jessica (new)

Jessica Hi!

message 143: by Meagan (new)

Meagan How's it going? :)

message 144: by Meghan (new)

Meghan | 227 comments I'm so glad it's warm enough to actually not freeze outside.

message 145: by Jessica (new)

Jessica I wish it was actually cold. Its really hot where I'm at.

message 146: by Meghan (new)

Meghan | 227 comments You said you lived in Arizona right?

message 147: by Jessica (new)

Jessica Yeah.

message 148: by Meghan (new)

Meghan | 227 comments I've never been to that part of the country. I've only been in New England except for Maryland and Virginia. I'm used to there being winter, but for me it's probably worse when there's too much heat then when it's freezing.

message 149: by Jessica (new)

Jessica Yeah, I've only ever went to california once. Only time I ever went out of the state.

message 150: by Meghan (new)

Meghan | 227 comments What's California like?
