Thanks for posting this list, been looking high and low for a great list of books depicting Ace spectrum characters. 😊

Hi dears, I've been beta reading last year a memoir written by Christopher X. Sullivan called The Friend. I think this is one of the best ace books ever. It's a memoir, but it reads like an awesome romance story. I'm currently beta reading book 5. It made quite an impression with me and I thought maybe others want to know about it since it was published yesterday.

Thank you for sharing your review! As an ace reader myself I'm always looking forward to new ace themed books. I'm certainly adding this to my tbr|

I thought this piece from Bustle might be of interest: "Asexual Readers Just Want Ace Characters to Live Full, Diverse Lives on the Page."

I want to add one adult M/M with two ace MCs in here, because it's fine for YA and has a lot of ace information in it (almost a bit too much info presented, but super cute and a good book to recommend for someone not sure what ace is about. The author identifies on the ace spectrum.)
Upside Down
Nice to see the mainstream media presenting real information about asexuality:Asexuality isn't celibacy or abstinence. Here's what it is — and isn't

Being asexualWhat is it like to feel love and share physical intimacy yet feel no sexual attraction to the person you are with?

The ace MC in this book most clearly reflected my own lived experience of being ace back to myself. It wasn’t always comfortable.
I'll have to check that one out. Given that Xia Xia talks about 5 volumes so far, is there some kind of completion if I read just the first one and stop?
There are, I believe, going to be ten volumes. I don't know anything more than that. Let me get Xia over here. :D
Thank you for the heads up, Linda! :*@Kaje, in total there will be 9 books (used to be 10, but one book has been split in two and the chapters added in books 7 and 8): Books 1-3 have a friends-to-lovers arc. You will need to read all 3 for completion.
Books 4-6 present their official relationship, ups and downs, sexual explorations and relationship development.
Books 7-9 are all about Chris and Mark establishing their current family and adopting their son.
8 books have been published so far. The last will be published in February.

Cool, thank you. Got it.

Elatsoe is about Ellie, who is Lipan Apache, and also asexual. Ellie is trying to solve a mystery. Darcie Little Badger, the author, is also ace. ElatsoeDarcie Little Badger

Elatsoe[author:Darcie Little Badger..."This is one of our nominees for this month's book of the month reading. Also sounds like a good choice for younger teens to introduce an asexual character.
Toony is an agender author who is also on the ace spectrum even though most of their books aren't ace representation I just know they are an author not many people have heard about. I'm assuming people have read loveless by now, it was a brilliant book for ace representation. I also enjoyed legends and lattes which the ending to me felt ace, even though it's not ? I appreciated it none the less.
