SOLVED. 80s book about a boy in a computer, green cover, elementary school reading level [s]

All I can remember about the book is a boy went inside his computer and saw how it worked. It had a green hard cover and was wide (picture landscape mode during printing). It was in my elementary school library. I loved it, but can't remember the name for the life of me. I have searched the web repeatedly and haven't been able to come up with anything. Hoping someone can help!

Are you sure it was a boy? It sounds like Katie And The Computer. She fell in through the monitor, rode the bus through the CPU, and gets returned home through the monitor again. Green cover, 1980s vintage.
