My Status as an Assassin Obviously Exceeds the Hero's Vol. 1 and My Status as an Assassin Obviously Exceeds the Hero's Vol. 2 by Matsuri Akai
Moab is my Washpot - Stephen Fry.
It was interesting but ok overall. I don't mind wordy books but I found this rambling and the tangents to his story seemed to have tangents.

Future Noir Revised & Updated Edition: The Making of Blade Runner by Paul M. SammonInteresting behind the scenes account of a sci-fi classic movie.
The Postman Always Rings Twice by James M. Cain
A standard noir crime thriller but with a somewhat surprising and almost philosophical ending.
Changeling. It's a middle grade book, but it was really good and makes me want to read the author's YA series.

Two Years Before the Mast: and Twenty-four Years After by R. H. DanaEssentially a diary of a sailor from the 1800s. Also provides good descriptions of the early Spanish and Yankee settlements in California.
Empire of Blue Water: Captain Morgan's Great Pirate Army, the Epic Battle for the Americas, and the Catastrophe That Ended the Outlaws' Bloody Reign by Stephan Talty
The Roman Empire and the Silk Routes: The Ancient World Economy & the Empires of Parthia, Central Asia & Han China by Raoul McLaughlin
The last book I finished was Pupcakes by Annie England Noblin. It was cute, but unfortunately the dogs had more depth than the people.
Armada by Ernest ClineNot nearly as good as "Ready Player One". In fact, I wonder if Ernest Cline wrote this book first because it seemed much less refined. Nonetheless, it was a fun read.

Was it good? I have heard mixed reviews of a Marmite nature about The Lost Spells.

I'm right now finishing up The Paper Menagerie and Other Stories. Really different and good. The stories vary in quality but they all have a certain literary /cultural flair that makes them very absorbing. To me, at least.
