In the last couple of days I finished Children of Blood and Bone (Fantasy) and Silence of the Girls (Ancient Historical themed Fiction). Both were fantastic. I recommend them both :)

Makes me want to re-read it. I've only read it the once over a decade ago, but it was great!

I finished Scourged, the last book in the Iron Druid Chronicles. Looks like it got a good deal of hate from fans but I thoroughly enjoyed myself.

Neuromancer (Sprawl, #1) by William Gibson"
I think Gibson started losing his cool when he stopped writing about ninjas with detachable thumbs.

I've been so leary of reading this because of all the hate that it got

I really think it was because it didn't end the way people wanted it to.

I have no review other than I was, for the most part, very satisfied.

It was fine enough but suffers for being not as good as Orconomics (which spoofed similar topics) and Yahtzee's subsequent book Will Save the Galaxy for Food.

And I started reading:

Bloody Rose by Nicholas Eames

A Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess

The Poisonwood Bible Really impressed me. Very good writing, giving each character as they took over a distinctive and consistent voice.

K2: Life and Death on the World's Most Dangerous Mountain by Ed Viesturs - liked it a lot (4 stars)

Fforde tends to be pretty damn good. ;)

His Thursday Next series was brilliant IMHO.

Ahh is it? I always feel a bit uncertain when authors play with characters from other series', which is what Thursday Next does, right?

Sorta. She works fur "Juris Fiction" the book police, that prevent books from getting changed. It's more like literary satire. I thought they were brilliant, personally.
