Once Upon A Time and Lara
James opened his eyes and smiled a little. "Want to go to the kitchen and get some food?" He asked gently, brushing her bangs out of her face.Sam nodded, "Course I was joking." Then she heard a long low growl. Sam spun and her eyes widened. Then she calmed down again and grinned. "You're scared of that thing?" She shifted into one of the animals herself and began talking to it in its language. Immediately the large cat nodded and left. Sam (still a large cat) looked down at Danny and smiled, as if to say "see?"
"Yes." She said whispered. "Can you carry me?" She asked. She looked at him smiling happily."Yes" he jumped back some more. He jumped a little bit when she turned into that thing. "Can we go back." He asked nervous.
James grinned. "Anything for you my dear." He got up off the bed and picked her up gently, carrying her to the kitchen where he set her down gently at a table.Sam turned into her normal self. "Party pooper. The witch hunter who enjoyed killing is scared of a kitty cat?" She raised an eyebrow. "Yeah we can go." She started to drag him back to the portal. "Wouldn't want you to get scared." She rolled her eyes.
She smiled weakly. "I'm mad Josh never brought me my breakfast." She complained. She smiled at him. "Your cooking is better though." He felt hurt. He didn't like that. He let go of her hand and walked away. Holding back the tears.
James bowed. "Why thank you." he moved over to the kitchen. "What do you want?" He asked her, looking around at what they had for options.Sam froze, watching him leave. "Danny! I'm sorry. I didn't mean to be offensive. I was just joking!" She called after him.
"Waffles." She whispered with a smile.He didn't look behind him. He turned around."Yeah I didn't tell you like killing for you used that against me." He said coldly.
James nodded. "Coming right up." He got out the ingredients and started to blend them together. He was wearing a white t-shirt that made his black wings, hair, and tattoo stand out. He smiled over at her. "I'm assuming you want a Vanilla Cappuccino as well?"Sam bit her lip. She opened her mouth to say something, but then she just shut it and shook her head, looking down. A lone tear broke away from her eyelid and it rolled down her cheek. She made herself invisible and started to walk away.
"Yes." She whispered. She smiled at him blushing. He was so cute. She sighed the heat was in her face and it stood out. She was still wearing her pjs. She pictured the sink leaking water out and it did so. His shirt was soaking wet. She could see him through it. She blushed even redder. "Are you ok?" He sat down on the hallway not far from where Sam was and started to cry.
James stopped what he was doing and looked down at himself. He looked up at her, one eyebrow raised. "You did that on purpose." He said. He smiled wryly, shaking his head. grabbing the hem of his shirt, he tugged it off of himself, making a squelching noise. He dumped the wet shirt on the ground. "I just put that one on." He complained, smiling at her through his bangs.Sam had tears running freely down her cheeks now. She ran through the hallways and outside. Leaping into the air, she flew up into the skies until she was above the clouds. Then she just floated, staring up at the sky, and cried.
"I didn't do anything wrong." She looked at him taking the shirt off. Her face was a beat red. "I think it's hot it here." She paused. "I mean I have a fever." She said. She quickly turned to the window looking out it. "Isn't the view great.... I mean the one outside." She said looking down blushing. He sat there. He saw something come in. "Who are you?"
The girl was young about Sam's age. She came over to him. "You know Calla didn't die but you can." She stabbed him. He fell to the floor. Then the person was gone.
Sam I love you. He gasped for air. He laid there trying to keep his eyes open.
James chuckled softly and went back to his cooking, "You didn't do anything wrong Calla." He shook his head slowly, as he added milk into the batter. "If you like what I look like, say so. I don't mind. In fact, I enjoy it." He grinned. Sam jerked upright. She could hear pain in his voice. From where she was, she closed her eyes and healed him, giving him some of her own energy to make sure he would be strong. Then she blocked off her mind and curled up again, crying into her hands.
She smiled at him. "I never said I did anything wrong. This an old castle so there was bound to be plumbing troubles. It's not like I was planning to burn all your shirts at some point. Which I wasn't." She said smiling.The person reappeared. "Awe I was right she wouldn't come for you and now I guess you'll die"
He stood up and tried getting away before nothing else he was on the floor. Sam He said.
James brought her waffles and drink over, sitting down beside her to eat. "Liar. I heard you think that you wanted to." He said, elbowing her playfully. He grinned, and took a bite of his food.Sam didn't hear him. She couldn't hear him, she had blocked off her mind, shutting off her telepathy. She was shaking and crying, her eyes red from tears. She curled up on the ground.
"Me burn your shirts never." She said with a smile. She ate her waffles. She drink some of her drink. "I have no reason to burn anything." She said.He knew what happened. He panic a bit knowing there was nothing to do. He put a charm on his body so his last words would be persevered if she touched him. "I'm so sorry Princess for snapping at you. I hope you know I love you." He said before he closed his eyes. His heart was cracking a bit. His breaths became slower apart. His body was cold and and growing limp.
James smiled. "Of course not." He chuckled softly, finishing his waffles. "How is the food?"Sam finally dried her tears. She knew what she would do. She would go back and apologize for everything and then leave him alone. She flew back inside and spotted Danny. She flew over to him and knelt beside him. "Danny? Danny? What's wrong?" She asked, worried. She touched him and immediately heard his words. Sam screamed. "No! No Danny, stay with me." She pulled his head onto her lap. "Please Danny, don't die, you can't leave me here!" She healed his wound and gave him her energy. "I-I love you too." She muttered, holding him and crying into his hair.
"It's really good." She said blushing. "Maybe we could do I something like burn your shirts I mean count your shirts." She said.Danny laid there gaining color in his face. He started breathing more and more. He just needed some rest.
Then the young girl appeared. "Awe you came back. You guys can't seem to stay dead. are you going to tell him that you aren't staying with him that would be harsh. And did Calla tell you about in two hours you'll become a Vampire Princess and you know the rules about Vampire and Starligters being together. There is already an arrange marriage planed out for you. You should thank me I did plant those in her head. I'm saying to much. I'll be back. Sorry he didn't stay dead." Then she was gone.
James laughed, getting up to clear the dishes. "I need my shirts thank you very much." He winked at her. "But you're welcome to count them if you want."Sam bit her lip at the girl's words. She's just lying, she's just lying, she's just lying... She told herself over and over. That couldn't happen. She couldn't be married to anyone but Danny. And she wasn't really a vampire, she was a hybrid, so why couldn't she be with him? She didn't care right now. She was just glad that he was alive. "Danny." She mumbled into his hair, holding him tightly.
"You don't need your shirts you just want them. My powers I have glitches like if I snap fingers and think of something to burn it will. You want to test that theory?" She smiled at him. She paused. "James there has been complaining of the vampires need a new queen. There's one prince for the marriage. Who will be best for that position . I would say Sam but one she has to be a full vampire and then she's married."Danny slowly opened his eyes. "Sam." He whispered gently.
He shrugged. "True." When she talked about the vampire queen, he nodded. "I don't know. I don't know many vampires, so I don't think I would be able to help you out there."Sam smiled, laughing a little through her tears. "Yeah. It's me." She hugged him, still crying, but now for joy.
"I only know Sam." She whispered. He smiled. He slowly sat up. "I don't feel so well." He whispered.
He bit his lip. "We can't pull her away from Danny though." He said.Sam looked at him, worried. "Do you need anything? Can I get you water, or a cold cloth? Or food? Or take you to bed? Or give you some more energy?"
"Yeah I know" she whispered. "No I'm probably just light headed from the blood loss" he whispered. "Can you hold me." He whispered.
James ran a hand through his hair, "So what are you going to do?"Sam nodded. "Of course." She whispered back, pulling him into his arms. "Do you need blood? Because I can give you some of mine."
"I don't know." She whispered.He smiled. "No I'm fine Princess."
James nodded and looked down. "Well. When you figure something out, or need my help, let me know." He told her gently. He smiled a little, "I'm here for you."Sam nodded. "Ok. I'm glad of that." She told him softly.
"I know." She smiled "Don't you love this view of the mountains." She asked looking at the mountains but thinking about his ripped stomach.He smiled.
James chuckled, he could hear what she was thinking. "Mhm. Remember I can hear your thoughts." He said, grinning down at her. He draped an arm over her shoulder.She smiled back. "Are you sure you don't need anything?"
She blushed. "What." She said. "I was thinking about the nice ripped mountains. I mean I was thinking about the nice view of the mountains." She said blushing."I need one thing."
Liar. You can't hide anything from me. He smile roguishly down at her. "Yes those mountains are quite nice aren't they."Sam raised an eyebrow. "And what is that?" She asked him, interested.
She looked at him and smiled. "You." He whispered.
"Silence.... mhm. I knew it." He laughed softly. "You don't have anything to say to that do you?" He grinned down at her.Sam's eyes lit up and she smiled. She immediately bent down and locked her lips with Danny's, kissing him passionately for a couple of seconds. Then she pulled away again and whispered. "I miss doing that."
She looked down. Hoe mad would you be if you had no shirts? She looked down trying to not look at him.He blushed and smiled. "I feel a lot better now." He whispered to her. He yawned a bit.
James thought about that for a moment. I would rather you asked me to take my shirt off then just go and burn them all. He told her, chuckling softly. Sam nodded. "Good." She picked him up gently, able to do so only because of her enhanced vampire strength, and carried him to the bed. She lay him down and then crawled up beside him.
Well you have a few shirts maybe left. Maybe burnt chared pieces. She said looking down.He smiled a bit and fell asleep.
James sighed. You already burnt them, didn't you?Sam smiled and snuggled against him, falling asleep soon as well.
"No." She said looking down. "I didn't burn them what are you talking about." She said. He snuggled into her.
His eyebrows raised in surprise. "So you didn't burn them?" He asked.Sam smiled a little in her sleep, her dreams were peaceful.
"Yes I burnt them on accident I was just thinking about burning them and they burned." She said. He had a sweet dreams.
James chuckled. "Thought so. " he smiled a little. "Its ok. I can just replace them."In the middle of the night, sam woke up and got out of bed. She left, drained three humans, came back, and lay down again as if nothing had happened.
"Yeah" she smiled weakly. She moved to his lap and teleported them to the bed. "Goodnight." She whispered falling asleep.Danny didn't realize that Sam left.
James laughed softly and held her. "Goodnight."Sam went right back to sleep.
She opened her eyes as she saw the light coming in. She heard someone at the door. She ran to the door. "Good morning my majesty."
"What is the problem Frank?"
"Three humans drained by blood."
Callas faced pale. "Where and when?"
"In the village a few miles away from here last night. Messy work whoever did it never had done that before." James She shouted in her mind.
Danny woke up. "Good morning Princess."
James jerked awake when he heard her voice in his mind. He slipped on a shirt and ran downstairs. His eyes fell on the stranger and they narrowed. "Who's he? What's going on?" He asked, somewhat suspiciously. Sam opened her eyes slowly, and then smiled at Danny. "Morning. How did you sleep?"
"His name is Frank and he is one the people who keep us inform on things." Frank backed up shaking. "Demon." He whispered.
"Yeah I realized that now tell him what you told me."
He nodded his head. "Three humans found drained in the village near by whoever did it was messy and left a lot of clues."
"How did you sleep Princess?"
James ran a hand through his black hair which was still messy from him sleeping on it. "Ok. So that's like not allowed, right?" He asked, trying to confirm things. He wasn't very familiar with law. "That's a bad thing?"Sam smiled. "Really well. I had a couple of strange dreams, but I didn't wake up once."
"No that's not allowed." Calla looked at James. "What are some of the major clues you found.""First off it resembles the queens curse and we found some reddish hair on one of the victims."
"You sure it was reddish and you sure about the curse." He nodded his head. "was there any type of magic in the air."
"Yeah um magic that resembles starlighters"
"Your wrong. James tell me he is wrong."
"I slept good." He smiled at her.
James eyes focused on Frank for a second. He stared at him without moving, and then finally broke his gaze away again. "He isn't lying." He told Calla honestly. He bit his lip. The evidence made the culprit sound a lot like Sam.... but she wouldn't do that, right? She had never gone blood crazy before.Sam nodded, relaxing. "I'm glad." She whispered back. She yawned, revealing that her baby fangs still had a little blood on them. She licked it off in distaste, frowning a little. That's odd... She thought to herself.
"Go now that's all update me if anyone saw the person." She turned to James. Frank left. "She wouldn't do that I need to see the bodies." She teleported there and saw the bodies. She touched one of them flashes of Sam doing it. She backed up and teleported to James. "James this isn't good.""So what did you dream about." He asked.
James frowned. "So it was her?" He asked hesitantly, unsure of what to think. "Sam for sure did it?" He flapped his wings once in agitation, which he sometimes did when he was stressed.Sam shuddered, "Oh it was a nightmare. I wanted blood so badly so I killed people." she whimpered softly. "I was a killer and it felt so real. I would never do that, ever, but I couldn't control myself and..." She started to cry.
"You were joking about that weren't you?" He whispered when he saw the creature. He jumped again. "Sam I'm scared." He whispered again.
