Ohmigosh! I love this series and just about everything this universe that Carriger has written. How are you finding it?

I read the first book in less than a day. I'm loving it so far.

I just haven't felt up to reading the past couple of days (I think I've caught a cold), or I would have finished this one already. ^_^

Nicqui | 66 comments That's what happened to me last year (2014 hehehe). I read the first book of the Finishing School Series first and then quickly fell down the rabbit hole. I just couldn't get enough.

I'm sorry to hear you're unwell. Drink lots of fluids (with vitamin c) and get lots of rest.

Yes I am! :)

Nicqui | 66 comments I read the books a couple years ago. It's not the greatest writing and storytelling ever but it isn't as terrible as people like to say. I did get caught up in the story after a while. I guess the curiosity about what happens next kept me reading.

Are you going to see the movie?

message 545: by Nicqui (new)

Nicqui | 66 comments I don't know if I want to. I like Jamie Dornan but I don't know that this is really the kind of story that will translate well on-screen. I think I might just leave it to my imagination.

I understand.

Nicqui | 66 comments The story was entertaining, I'll give James that. I wasn't bored. I skipped most of the sex after a while but there were other parts that were funny and fun.

Have you read books similar to Fifty Shades?

message 549: by Nicqui (new)

Nicqui | 66 comments A few but they weren't great. I'll look into other authors. Right now I'm trying to make a dent in that To-Read shelf that has been ballooning.
