Yeah! Now I'm more excited to start reading The Maze Runner, plus the movie is coming to theaters soon :)

†Reviews of a FearStreetZombie† (fearstreetzombie) A book my sister actually wrote. hehe

Though I can't say I finished the WHOLE thing, she is still writing on it. I'm reading as she goes.

When she gets it published, it's gonna be sooooooooo amazing!

What's your rating on Allegiant?"

5 stars i think it was very fast paste towards the ending and throughout the book Veronica Roth but lots of non stop action into it, i do however think that some of scenes did drag on a bit i don't know whether that was just me and the way i was reading or whether anyone else felt the same, but overall it was truly amazing and if you haven't read the series i really recommend you as Veronica Roth is a VERY talented author :)

It was okay... I wasn't that impressed with it but the third book is really good in my opinion so if you like the idea of the series, definitely push through! If you don't, don't bother.

Have you guys read The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman? I just finished it last night and it was awesome.

I seriously love everything he does.

Tamara (bardura) | 293 comments Meg wrote: "A.C: i'm really interested in reading Neil Gaiman's stuff, what would you suggest is a good one to start off with? :)"

Just dont start off with American Gods (American Gods, #1) by Neil Gaiman Meg :) Neil Gaiman himself has said that the only advice he gives to people who ask this question is to start with anything EXCEPT American Gods. He feels this one has turned off more 1st time readers than any of his other works.

So yeah, if I were you I wouldnt start off with the "harder" stuff. Like A.C. said The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman is an awesome book. I think its the piece that best represents his work in general, somewhere between children books, fantasy, horror and comedy so you can start off with that but beware it's a (dark) children/YA book. If you would prefer starting off with something more adult I'd suggest Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman . It was my first and it was AMAZING. Lured me right in.

I'd also recommend Coraline by Neil Gaiman but it's a Middle Grade book so again, beware :) I havent read it yet but I've heard so many good things about it and the movie was a delight so the book is definitely going to be way better

(Meg, I know you've asked A.C. but I couldnt resist. I hope it's ok ^^)

Meghan (meghancitylibrary) | 1582 comments It's totally okay!! Thank you soo much for the advice!! :D

message 178: by [deleted user] (new)

Meg and Tamara - sorry for the delay! I completely agree with Tamara. Start with anything but American Gods. It's great, but not a good representation of his work. I'd recommend either Graveyard Book or Ocean at The End of the Lane as a starting point! :)

Megan (megandurrence) | 8 comments Finished Starcrossed (Starcrossed, #1) by Josephine Angelini the other day, and I know a lot of people loved it, but I didn't care for how weak the main character was. I want to continue the series out of curiosity, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Megan (jinjumeg) | 14 comments I just finished Day 21 (The Hundred, #2) by Kass Morgan and I really enjoyed it

It's so different to the TV show so it's worth reading. There's characters that aren't in the series and you learn a lot more about life on the arc and there's a few big plot twists

If you have read Divergent before this book, don't read it, because it's the same thing, like an index book 2/5 because 3 things that I didn't knew were on this book plus 2 images that weren't on the movie, but tha't it :S I was hoping for a better book
