In this world, magic is almost forgotten and fewer humans are in contact with the creatures and monsters of the other world. But sometimes a little of magic filtrates in the human territories. A minority of kids who are born at the exact time with an animal are bond to them, having to live their entire life with that companion. It has its perks, though. These kids are so connected to them, that they can see through their animals counterparts and almost control all their actions. The problem is that the more they used their powers, the more animal their apperances start to look like. On top of that, normal humans tend to hated these children and they're forced to live as outcasts in the forest. Many of them are considered assassins and robbers, and caused terror to the people. Also, the rumours tell that these kids almost never reach adulthood. However there's a legend that their "curse" can be lift up if they do a journey and find a mysterious jewel. Many of them died trying it, but that doesn't prevent others to do it.

Name: Tobias Stone
Animal: A particularly wolfish wolfhound... Named wolf...
Age: 14
Appearance: Short, dark hair, skinny, animal-esque
Personality: Keeps to himself, somewhat antisocial, cautious, overuses his animal, very attached to said animal...

Age: 15
Animal: fox
Appearance: bright red hair, yellow eyes, short and small body, perfect for running away.
Personality: River is obstinated person, ready to fulfill her goals no matter the cost. She's an innate liar but can be loyal to her dearest one.

River walked calmly and slow through the forest, followed by her fox Red. It was a silly name but she had chosen it when she was small and the name stick.
It had been a few years ago since she had last saw her home and family, and though she didn't regret abandoning them, she felt slightly guilty for her little brother. Suddenly, Red heard something as she also did. Quickly she climbed a tree, while her fox hid behind the bushes. She took out her bow and arrow, and waited patiently for the creature or whatever appear.
