Lauren, you are braver than I am. I haven't seen the movie and never will nor will I ever read the book. I like mystery, not scary. Lol

Lauren let us know what you think of Rosemary`s Baby. Hope you enjoy. I just picked up a copy of The Returned. Looks interesting. CJ I have read "The Rats" by James Herbert and your right some of it was a bit too gory / graphic for my liking.
That sounds like a great privilege, Lauren, to read the book before seeing the movie. Hope you have fun with it.The movie is pretty scary!
Lauren wrote: "Thanks for all the great recommendations! Candace: those books look like really interesting series. I definitely need to pick some up! I'm really looking forward to the Charles Todd book as we..."
lol That's awesome!!! It's really great book/movie! With great characters and great writing. And in my whole life....I have never seen a movie stick so closely to the book. Almost word for word, scene for scene. Fantastic!!
It is pretty scary tho, I suppose, it didn't scare me a whole lot...but the story is just so compelling! Let me know what you think of it!! Please!!
Sarah wrote: "CJ I have read "The Rats" by James Herbert and your right some of it was a bit too gory / graphic for my liking."Yeah just reading the book's description on the back was enough for me to put it down. Ick!
I got a Christian Horror book from the library. A guy recommended by Goodreads. It's called "Scream" written by Mike Dellosso.
There are some writers in this genre I disagree with as the few are more on the horror and less or not at all on the spiritual aspect but I hope this one's good!
Roberta wrote: "I'm reading "Do Androids Dream Of Electric Sheep?" by Philip K. Dick. =D I'm enjoying it."Awesome! That inspired so many movies and at least one story of the show The Twilight Zone! He must be a great writer.

Oh, I see you beat me to comment on that Lauren, haha! :)
I`ve just started The Day of the Triffids. I`ve wanted to read it for ages and am really enjoying it so far
Sarah wrote: "I`ve just started The Day of the Triffids. I`ve wanted to read it for ages and am really enjoying it so far" One of my all time favourites with a truly great first few pages
I finished "Dahlia." Now I have a small amount of books that I hope to get done soon before I tackle a Christie book we haven't read yet (it would probably take a year or so to get to it!).Have the book Scream to finish and it is getting good! Then I want to continue a book about the man's struggle and how he can find forgiveness, love, and especially strength because of God. I want to then (or later) get back to reading a non-fiction book about the US presidents and a seeming essay (though not boring) about their rises, strengths and downfalls as presidents. It's called Hail to the Chief: The Making and Unmaking of American Presidents.
I am reading Three Act Tragedy. Have read it somewhere back in the mists of time but cannot remember the plot. I am a third of the way through and Hercule hasn't appeared onstage yet. He is on his way though. Enjoying so far.
Just finished last night the book "Scream" by Mike Dellosso and it was good! Now I am going to read a "certain" Christie before I tackle the one our reading group is currently doing. Or I could just do other ones not relative to the author... the world is my book-mark!
Just kidding. :P
The Blackbirder by Dorothy Hughes. Absolutely excellent. If you pick it up, let me know what you think Aslo, Red Wind by Raymond Chandler (which I'm doing some work on at the moment.)
I`m reading The Night Circus. Everyone seems to have read this book so I thought I`d try it and see if its any good.

Hi Lauren,
Although this is the second book in the series it is actually the tenth I have read ... so far. I usually read on my Kindle and this one just became available from my library. I have a hold request for another one. It is becoming one of my favorite series.
I've just gotten into a book I received on my birthday this year. "Open Season" by C. J. Box. It's not bad! The best way to describe it at it's core is a mystery.
Just started
by William Landay. It was one I had seen a year or so ago. Finally getting around to reading it.
I finished reading
by William Landay. Really enjoyed it.I have now started
by David Baldacci. This is fourth book in the Camel Club series. I thought he had ended the series so I was happy to see this and the reviews are great.
Just started reading
by Brian Kilmeade. I have always been interested in history. I know about Nathan Hale but only recently learned there was a spy ring of six individuals. The identity of one was not revealed until the 20th century and the identity of another is still unknown.
Finished

by Tom Rath. This one is for work.Although the Jack Reacher novel is more pages I have a feeling I will finish it first.
I hope we will all be reading Murder in the Mews this evening!! (Remember, remember, the fifth of November; Gunpowder, treason .... and murder?)
I've been reading the classic Dracula by Bram Stoker but lately I have been reading books slowly so who knows when I will get far and complete this one.
