Well so far its grabbed my attention. Is this non-fiction? I don't remember. Anyway, I have a brother in-law who has had addiction problems, but is doing better and really into AA, so I'm curious as to what this book may reveal.

I don't think it is non fiction. The author hasastruggled with addiction but it is not his story though he is just writing a fictional novel with some insight.

I'm about 8% and will start again later tonight. I could easily get lost in this book. We just gonna read at at our own pace or do u wanna break it up?

However you want to do it, I stoped at fifteen percent so I wouldn't get to far ahead but I am alright with reading it however you want to.

Yes he is. So glad he got arrested before crashing the bus and killing all those kids. I feel so bad for his son, how old is he again? It seems a bit crazy that the cops would do that to such a young kid! Hopefully his wife turned him in, she didn't want his son with him because she knows he is smoking crack but she isn't willing to turn him in knowing he is driving all those other kids around? Shame on her!

I know he did. Red paint on his car, busted mirror...he doesn't even remember what he did or even taking his son to the bar. I'm pretty sure he's responsible. I couldn't believe his son smoked the crack, I mean, I knew it was gonna happen, but really? What an Ahole for leaving it there. The taser was a bit much for a child. I think he's like 11. I wouldn't have tolerated that. I don't care if they are cops, I would have flipped out! And, yes, I blame the mother for letting her husband do the things he does. She knows better and allows her son to be in danger. That's child abuse. Man, and what about Monty? Drinking mouth wash? Nasty!

Ok I am past their part and back to marty. The part I am reading now is painful to think about. I am going to 50% and stopping unless you are already further. I will check but probably won't comment because I'm on the busy job tonight.

I'm prob where u are at. I tried reading more of it last night but was so tired, I fell asleep. I'm hoping to drink lots of coffee tonight and stay up late to get much needed reading time in. We'll see where it goes. I'm at the intervention with Monty right now.

I am waiting for all the stories to come together and now that you mention it, sanctuary seems like a great place for that to happen. I'm not sure about how the meth head (I forget her name) is going to play into it though.

That part with Marty ripping his catheter out was excruciating, it made me sore just reading it.

Maybe meth girl and monty will build a romantic connection while at sanctuary.

I am at 60% (view spoiler)[I didn't think it could get worse than the catheter ripping part but he just took his first piss and holy crap it was hard to read. I feel sick to my stomach just from reading it. It looks like Marty and Dave will indeed meet at sanctuary, to bad Dave don't know that he killed Victoria or it could get really interesting. It is odd how there stories are so far in and we have only gotten one chapter about the meth head I hope it go's back to her soon. (hide spoiler)]

I am going to try to finish this one as soon as possible because my loan has expired and I was lent a carlton mellick III book titled fantastic orgy but I can't turn my kindle on to download it until I am done with this because it will disappear.

We had talked about buddy reading another cm3 book right after you finished cannibals of candyland, would you be interested in reading Fantastic Orgy with me? Read the description, it sounds completely bizarre but fun.

I have until the 27th to finish this book plus one other loaned title and claim my copy of fantastic orgy. It really don't seem like we have been reading this one for two weeks already but it is already expired.

Yeah, mine is expiring too. I'll be reading this tonight for sure.

I just found out how the meth head connects, can't believe I didn't see it earlier. If you think about it really hard I'm sure you can figure it out.

? Is AA really God focused? I mean, I have a tiny book that I thought was devotions. I got it at the GW, but when I opened it, it was an AA book. So maybe it is?

Yea apparently it is, I wonder if there are any non religious forms of AA. I would think that there would be some kind off program for non religious folks.

Ok. The only thing I could think of is well, isn't Angie's daughter part of the volleyball team? That one girl seemed to like Dave. Maybe that's her daughter?

Well, I was right about the daughter. Prob isn't gonna help Dave any but we know he's gonna try. If anything, she'll prob testify against him.

And mess up her mother's chance of re-establishing a relationship with her when she calls her after months of not talking to ask her if she can do her a favor and help out her crack head friend that almost killed her.

I think Dave will remember what happened when he killed Victoria at some point, especially since he was dreaming about smoking crack with his son on the ice and a song playing. It is obviously parts of that night mixed together in the dream.

Yeah, ur right. I didn't think about that. I'm 86%, so I'll finish in the morning. This is a page turner for me. I'd finish it tonight, but my contacts are drying out. This was a good pick Justin!

Yea I agree, I'm glad I picked this one it is great! I will finish tomorrow also. It's all coming together now and I'm expecting a good ending although I have no idea how it will end.
