You might have noticed by the onslaught of guest posts, we're shooting our season 2 videos in two weeks. That means three days and 12 interviews.

We're posting the authors here so we can collect your questions!

Let's hear it for Kevin Hearne

We're going to ask him some questions and YOU'RE going to ask him some questions. So what do you want to ask? Post it here.

message 2: by terpkristin (new)

terpkristin | 4407 comments Is he affiliated in any way with Oberon's twitter account?

message 3: by Ralffie (new)

Ralffie | 26 comments Is he planning on any other books in the IDC universe? Like perhaps about the Tempe Coven or the Morrigan (back in the day) ?

message 4: by Jason (new)

Jason (geminigrey) | 1 comments So I know Kevin has got a Star Wars novel in the works as well as the IDC. How was it working in somebody's else universe, especially as big a franchise as Star Wars is? Any special restrictions/requirements you can talk about?

message 5: by Tori (new)

Tori Meskell | 1 comments I love that Kevin uses Shakespeare in his characters' verbal battles. When he was teaching, what was his favorite author to teach?

message 6: by Steph (new)

Steph Galloway Have you got anything in mind for what you're going to write when you finish the IDC?

message 7: by Jeff (new)

Jeff Andersen (everstudious) Are your characters personalities drawn from people you know? Or is there an amalgam of different people?

message 8: by June (new)

June Weiss | 3 comments Is the number of IDC books set in stone or might you be persuaded to continue the series?

message 9: by Mike (new)

Mike Brady When you are starting to write a new book do you outline the whole thing or do you just sit down and let er rip?

message 10: by Clay (new)

Clay | 1 comments You quite often mention in your blog and other social media about the music that you listen to whilst writing. Most of the kickass music I get for the testosterone characters, but I would like to ask what music you associate with Granuaile?

message 11: by Nick (new)

Nick | 1 comments Would you be open to writing more in the Star Wars realm? Are there actually plans for that in place? Also, given the sort of cross-pollination that we see between Oberon and others from the IDC with various figures in the Dresden Files on Twitter and Tumblr, do I have to worry about a fangasm of epic proportions at the news of any official sort of crossover novel/short story?

message 12: by Pngnlove (new)

Pngnlove | 4 comments When is Oberon finally going to ditch the two humans who are so clearly holding him back and get his own spin off series? But on a more serious note, what challenges have you encountered writing a canine character in a human world?

message 13: by Harmony (new)

Harmony Mauzey | 1 comments Do you have any characters that you love to hate, like your audience, and does that make them harder or easier to write about?

message 14: by Jenna (new)

Jenna | 2 comments Did you read sci-fi/fantasy as a kid and if so, what was your favorite? Also curious as to your favorite comic series currently.

message 15: by Allen (new)

Allen Beyers | 1 comments How much research was required in all of the different religions that you represent so well in your books, especially the druids and norse religions? Also, why chicken apple sausages?

message 16: by [deleted user] (new)

How did you make up the tattoo and forms process? What inspired the thought that each tattoo represented a form, and which forms a druid could take?

message 17: by Cathy (new)

Cathy | 1 comments Kevin, do you hear Luke Daniels voices in your head as you write?!

message 18: by Meghan (new)

Meghan (mesulli) | 14 comments Allen wrote: "How much research was required in all of the different religions that you represent so well in your books, especially the druids and norse religions? Also, why chicken apple sausages?"

Related to Allen's question about research, what specific references are your 'go-to' sources, particularly for the Celtic and Druidic aspects? How much is based in actual myths and histories and how much is 'author liberties'?

message 19: by Ally (new)

Ally (geektastically) I read a interview a while back from you that someone had done discussing your background research on the Holy Grail/Arthur Myths which lead to you writing about the Iron Druid Chronicles.

I was just wondering if you would ever be interested in writing in anything along the lines of your take on the Holy Grail/Arthur Myths and what about them drew you to their research in the first place?

Also... when are you coming back to New York Comic Con :D

message 20: by Robert of Dale (last edited Jan 13, 2014 01:00PM) (new)

Robert of Dale (r_dale) | 185 comments There appear to be two different audiobooks for at least the first IDC book, with different narrators. What's going on there? (I pity the guy trying to measure up to Luke Daniels' version of Oberon).

Do you plan to continue writing in the "urban" fantasy genre after IDC, or do you want to try any other genres or sub-genres?

message 21: by Christopher (new)

Christopher Preiman | 347 comments What was it like going from a relative unknown to one of the bigger name fantasy authors more or less over night?

message 22: by KJ (new)

KJ (kjbook) Will you continue "past building" novellas after the series is complete?

message 23: by Lesli (new)

Lesli Cooper | 1 comments Hello Kevin and anyone else this may concern. I don't have a question, but just wanted to make sure to give a big kudos to Mr. Hearne. You're awesome! Thank you so much for the IDC series! Love them!

message 24: by Nth (new)

Nth Wolf (nthwolf) | 1 comments Which character do you most identify with?

message 25: by Trike (new)

Trike | 11190 comments Any chance of a graphic novel or TV series adaptation of the Iron Druid?

message 26: by Sile (new)

Sile Enis (sileenis) | 4 comments Did you know from the beginning how Atticus and the Morrigan's relationship would progress through the series up to the current book? Or did it change from what you thought it would be and surprise you with what happened?
Were there any other developments or characters that surprised you while writing the series?

message 27: by Brenda Jenkins (new)

Brenda Jenkins Kleager | 1 comments What is a typical writing day for you? For example, do you have specific word count goals or do you write when the muse hits you? What time of the day to you do your best writing?

message 28: by Sandi (new)

Sandi (sandikal) | 1212 comments I am constantly telling people to listen to The Iron Druid Chronicles. It's one series that I think is best in audio. You're words and Luke Daniels' narration are the perfect combination. How significant is the audio market for your books?

Also, do you have plans for any other series or standalone novels?
