Yeah. I remember really liking the first book but here I feel the characters are nothing like they were. You hit the nail on the head when you said scratching the surface. It's almost like she wanted to just rush through this so she doesn't develop anything. You can tell she wasn't into writing this or something and just wanted it done. What a damn shame

I think you were generous. I'm pissed. Since I'm DNFing, I will not rate it but she just threw this shit together, rushed through, and made me pay- 4- fucking- dollars with no way to return. There was no development, storyline completely fell flat, Lucas became soft, oh, and this shit sucks.. Steaming mad..

I finished it and now i'm certain that the author either didn't want to write this book or was distracted and got tired of it, so by the end, in two paragraphs, the story comes to an end. Kind of like "Slam, bam, thank you ma'am."

You are exactly right. She just ho'hummed through until she had enough to actually make it not a novella and then stuck an ending on it and called it a day. Then, charged my ass 4 bucks with no way to return.

I think the Dom stuff comes from his view on the events that happened that Sam is holding over him. He views himself as a monster and this is his release from that. But with that being said, a person can be nice but a Dominant I think. It's about control in my opinion.
