Sherlock Holmes!

Finished. And finished. I'm sorry to say that as much as I like Sherlock Holmes and John Watson as characters in not a fan of Conan Doyle. The racism (not as bad as some) and sexism (again really not that bad) doesn't bother me. But I find the story itself to be boring. And the conclusions are so anti climatic. In my opinion. A good mystery should end on a high point and I found myself wanting to skim the explanation.

I may read more. Maybe I'll enjoy the shorter stories more. And I'm at least going to read Hounds of Baskerville.

I am enjoying the short stories a lot more. To me, they address a lot of the issues I had with the novellas in pacing and extraneous data-dumping.

I've stopped all buddy reads due to time constraints. I hope to revisit them during the summer.
