Yep I'm doing the sane thing Mandy, wauting for the end of it before I dive back into it. Just keep piling the books in my kindle.

I agree with you Belkis. If I didn't read the 2nd book (which was labeled as the "1st" book), I probably would have stopped. But that being said, after the 2nd book, I was hooked.

Oh thank goodness I'm not loosing my mind LOL! You saw that too. Because I didn't go back to read Myst's book, WWF until I was done with Kaderyn & Sebastion's story which is book 3 :D since Amazon had A Hunger Like No Other was labeled as book 1 when I started reading them. And by that point I was a goner for this series.

No it's not, and the series is seriously dragging and the turn it took this time is just...I don't know. It just needs to end, but now it's like we're back to square one, when book 5 actually could have left it all at a HEA and been over and done with. Bummed!!

Oh, there's definitely more, she's essentially blown everything out of the water that was set up in book 5 and started a whole new facet of the story that seemed out of left field. And the ending took them even farther away from a HEA, which really irked me. There are a lot of positive reviews, I just am at a loss with this and I feel really bad because Bella is such a sweet and appreciative author.

I don't know, I might be in the minority. But I read a very early version, too, so perhaps it has changed. It just didn't click with me. I actually enjoyed the Sweet books enough. I haven't read the last one yet, though I do have an ARC of it.

And u was that type of reader, I just was annoyed with the lack of answers, the story overall was memorable and I did enjoy it, just like Goddess Test, but it still annoyed me lol. I did grit my teeth and push through the entire series.

Laura (llbasaldua) | 790 comments One of my All Time top 10 Favorite books ever!

I would also recommend A Place to Call Home by Deborah Smith they have been compared many times and recently i finally got around to reading it. Its a very good story and very much like Sweet Gum Tree.I would say the story line was switched up a bit for SGT since it released after this one But although I really enjoyed the story I didnt have the all consuming emotional set I had for SGT. But it is worth a read especially for those looking for similar books like SGT!

Laura (llbasaldua) | 790 comments Yeah like Belkis explained Warlord Wants Forever was originally a short story in Playing Easy to Get (Includes B.A.D. Series, #1.5; Vikings Underground, #3; Immortals After Dark, #1) by Sherrilyn Kenyon and the story that inspired the series so yeah A Hunger Like No Other (Immortals After Dark, #2) by Kresley Cole was the first book I read also but felt like I was missing out on a joke when Myst is mentioned so thats how I found the original story So every book after explains and also has a summary of what is what in the Lore the further you get into the series.

I've just added this to my to-read shelf. As well as my really-shouldn't-but-i-can't-help-it shelf. I'll sample it to see if I'm willing to take the plunge!

currently reading This is Not a Test by Courtney Summers and I really like it. Reading a book from the POV of a girl who was planning to commit suicide the day a zombie apocalypse breaks out; how can you NOT want to know where that will lead?

Laura (llbasaldua) | 790 comments Well that really sucks for me and others that stopped till the series is finished. I stopped at #2 So its going to be awhile before I start them back up IF i ever do. I really hate when a series gets dragged out for no reason.

This is why I actually haven't read it yet because it just seems like there's a ton of drama for drama's sake and it has stopped being a fun series to read and I think there will be a HEA eventually but not until a ton of things happen in between then which irks me.

Just finished Choices (Choices, #1) by Sydney Lane and ugh it was painful to read. Such an obvious plot with simplistic writing, not a fan.

On to an ARC of Pretty Reckless by Jodi Linton , which has impressive reviews for a new author. Crossing my fingers I've snagged a good one here!! Also starting up Alienated (Alienated, #1) by Melissa Landers , Lover Awakened (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #3) by J.R. Ward (because I love Zsadist!!)
