So now I'm onto Sweet Dreams (Colorado Mountain, #2) by Kristen Ashley oh and I plan on starting An Ember in the Ashes (An Ember in the Ashes, #1) by Sabaa Tahir and Void by Cassy Roop so will probably go in between them :D

Almost done with A Court of Thorns and Roses (A Court of Thorns and Roses, #1) by Sarah J. Maas . I am just BORED. I mean, the writing is pretty good, but my goodness it moves so slow. I just want to freaking finish it already. I did manage the first novella in Off Base by Tessa Bailey . That one is written by Tessa Bailey. My first time reading her. It was ok. The second one is Sophie Jordan, so I know I'm gonna love it.

It's well written Savannah but the pace is very very very slow. Some reader are okay with that but some are not. I appreciated the story but the pacing frustrated me. A lot.

lol given how many people have struggled with it i'd say no…although personally i really loved it (but I got my copy for free through net galley)

If you buy the ebook on amazon and don't like it you can return it, same goes for audio through audible but you do need to pay for a membership to be able to return books (on audible, not amazon)

But i dunno..I actually didn't find it to be that slow? I read the whole thing in two days so maybe that could be why? Also perhaps because I'm still reading A Feast for Crows (A Song of Ice and Fire, #4) by George R.R. Martin which I've been picking up and putting down for like two years now…compared to that nothing seems slow lol

Maas is a great writer. But for me this book is SLOW! I will probably still get a copy eventually, b/c I'd like to have all her books in my collection. But if you are just thinking about buying to read, see if you can get it from the library, IMO. I've been reading it for over a month now and I have no pull to pick it up and rush to the end.

Finished Off Base by Tessa Bailey . A hot, sexy read for sure. I preferred Jordan's story and writing over Bailey's, but both was good. Trying my hardest to finish up A Court of Thorns and Roses (A Court of Thorns and Roses, #1) by Sarah J. Maas . 7 more chapters left! LOL!

Sophie | 22 comments Just finished Autumn. Been a while since I partook in a bit of good old-fashioned zombie apocalypse horror. Now I've started Teardrop by Lauren Kate. The Fallen series wasn't mind-blowing but it wasn't bad and I liked the actual style of her writing so I'm hoping this one will be better.

Jenny (juliababyjen) | 1075 comments Recent reads:

Bone Gap by Laura Ruby 5 star read, LOVED it! It reminded me a bit of a Maggie Stiefvater book, like the Raven Boys or The Scorpio Races.

Ignite Me (Shatter Me, #3) by Tahereh Mafi 3 stars, I was very underwhelmed by the finale to this series. It became all about Warner and Adam, and I just got to the point where I just didn't care anymore. It definitely needed more action.

The Sound of Music Story How A Beguiling Young Novice, A Handsome Austrian Captain, and Ten Singing von Trapp Children Inspired the Most Beloved Film of All Time by Tom Santopietro 4 stars, very fun read! I LOVE this movie and Julie Andrews, and this was great fun to learn all about the real Von Trapps, and how the movie was made :)

Challenger Deep by Neal Shusterman 5 stars, LOVED this book, although it was hard to read at times. Those poor kids!

Keeping the Castle by Patrice Kindl (reread) 4.5 stars, enjoyed this one just as much the second time! Its a Jane Austen type of "spoof", just hilarious!

The Wicked Will Rise (Dorothy Must Die, #2) by Danielle Paige 4 stars. I was on the fence on the first book. I loved the second half of it, but saw lots of room for improvement. I'm glad I kept reading, this sequel is way better than the first!

Currently reading now: Eldest (The Inheritance Cycle, #2) by Christopher Paolini (reread) The Vision by Dean Koontz End of Days (Penryn and the End of Days, #3) by Susan Ee The Crown (Queen of Hearts, #1) by Colleen Oakes
