A girlfriend of mine is reading Transcendence right now, she's loving it. I'll be interested in seeing what you think when you're done, it sounds good.

So im about 1/4 or so into

Oh she is great! Just starting this series since I recently finished her Princes series. Loved it.

I like it a lot too, my only complaint is the POVs are so similar, it is hard to distinguish between the two voices, but the plot is really good and I like the characters so I hope the sequels are good too!

So I finished
and I just am not entirely sure where I should score it. I mean it was kind of confusing, and the history and mythology wasn't really explained well. Idk if I liked it.
I just finished Shadow and Bone this past week -- very much enjoyed that, and I need to pick up the sequel. And today at lunch I started rereading Night of Cake & Puppets. I have to confess to being more than a little bit of a romantic, and that story hits just about every button possible with me. :)

(Not surprisingly) The book is much better than the movie I thought.

I'm not much into zombie books, but thought I would pick it up at some point. I figured if they made a movie out of it, it's probably pretty good.
So I finished
last night & hugged my kindle for awhile. Such a great book! Very unlike anything I've recently read, but worth reading! You can't help but fall a little (a lot) in love with Ehd and happy for him that Beh came around. GREAT book everyone! Now finishing up:

I really want to read this. The movie was cute but I've heard the book is very different than the movie.

The books are almost always better. I'm really not into the zombie thing but I've heard this is different.

Tiana411 wrote: "Just finished

What a unique and wonderful story. And the ending was beautiful and had me tearing up and smiling at the same time. So glad I read this one.

Me too gals, have all three of these in my kindle and have been wanting to read the Marked Men series for a while. Haven't even read
yet, oh sigh. So many good ones to get too. We need more reading time dagnabbit!

Idk ..."Yeah, some of the story isn't as developed as it could be I guess. But I enjoyed the premise of it and as the books evolve the story gets more intricate. The first book I felt was the weakest too Danielle. I read it when it first came out I think so it's been a while now and I can't really recall a lot of the storyline. I just enjoy this author's imagination and versatility to her writing. She always manages to surprise me with new and different ideas. Sorry you didn't enjoy it. My favorite ones of hers are The Chosen Soul trilogy and Hell Bent. She has so many different books and they're all very different from each other.
David wrote: "Reading
, very unique concept from a zombies point of view!"You know David, I think that of all of the zombie books out there this one seems to be the one that mostly tempts me. I've heard and read really good things about it. I wish I liked zombie books. Maybe I'll cave and read this one eventually. Glad you're enjoying it though.
I've read nothing but shoujo and yaoi manga for the past week or so. Need to read some challenge books, though, so I'm reading
now.
@ Genevieve, I loved them too. Laini Taylor's writing is beautiful and her Daughter of Smoke and Bone series is on of my all time favorites. Can't wait for
to come out so we can find out how it all ends!
Okay so I finished and loved
. I'm almost done with
and it's just okay, not great. Have started
to finish up this series. And up next are
and

Yep, I hear ya. I have three or four dystopian series that I started when we had dystopian reading challenge back in the day, and I was HOOKED on them for awhile then got sick of them. lol Now that I've read a million contemp romance and PNR books, they are more appealing. Enjoy diving into the series!

It's a lazy weekend so I got to finish
and it was fantastic! I loved that it was just 2 books. Definitely worth reading!
I think I'm in a book slump. Everything I start just doesn't seem appealing and it doesn't seem to matter the genre blech. Maybe I need a break, but I love books too. I guess I'm sick of the intro and story building and want to get right to the guts lol. I guess I need to find "the one" I need something that I have a great connection with, makes me emotional or has feels lol. I'm diving back into my tbrs if I'm not back by Tuesday I've gotten lost in my shelves and need help finding my way out lol.
