Sorry to hear your day started bad Tasha but happy it got better. It is a sad feeling when you realize that you don't have a book with you.

I love this series as well Nitzan. I had a really hard time choosing between Samuel and Adam.

I was always Team Adam. Samuel annoyed me in regards to Mercy. I never felt like he loved HER, more like the idea of what could be with her. He was using her. I love him as a brotherly/friend to Mercy, not a love interest. Glad he found someone.
Went to B&N this morning on a whim b/c I saw people posting that
released early at some stores. Lo and behold, they had it!!! I'm about 3/4 the way through. I like it, but I'm not actually loving it. I have to say that Owen, the main male MC, reminds me a lot of Ridge from
. That's a bit disappointing.

Oh man, that sucks hun. Hopefully it will stop disappointing you once you immerse yourself within the book.

Okay, I finished Beta Reading

I'm over 3/4 of the way done, so I doubt it.

Oh well she had a good run. I read Hopeless first and have not felt the same about any of the other books I have read from her. Don't get me wrong, I love her and I still like her books but they don't impact me the way Hopeless did.

I agree. I loved The Hopeless series and Maybe Someday. But the other books I've read just don't grab me as much. I liked Ugly Love, but it wasn't Maybe Someday for me (which was my favorite by her so far). And this one is not bad, don't get me wrong. I just don't see a big difference from the other books.

I think that happens to authors when they start churning them out like that. I feel the same happened to JLA, but that's just me.

Nope, not just you. I agree about JLA. I still like her writing but the books all blend together for me now. I have an ARC of Fall With Me that I'm reading and it isn't really pulling at me as much as I would like it to.

Yep. I mean, it's good but it's just not what I want it to be.

I can't help you either. I haven't read any of those books.

:( Oh well, I guess they cant all be 5 star reads. I'll still be checking it out just because it's CoHo.

I've heard about this one Bridget, probably from Belkis since she has read everything. Let me know if it's good.

Just finished. It was good, but just not great. I gave it 3 stars. Perhaps it will get 3.5 when I think about it more.

I am now reading

The first book in the Immortal Essence series is ok, but the quality of the writing drops drastically after that. It was weird. I think maybe the author rushed through the other books.

I started
because I haven't read Koontz in a while. It takes me a while to get through his books because I savor them so much. You have to read between the lines with him.

Alright, i'm sold! lol adding it now.

LOVE the Dwellers/Country series. One of my all time favorite dystopians, for sure. It's amazing how David brings it all together in the final book.

Awesome! Something to look forward to! :-)

That sucks! Dang, bummer. I want to get back to Hoover's stuff but I feel like she's going down the Glines and JLA route where all of her stuff is starting to blend or just lack anything original.

This is depressing, I'm in SUCH a bad contemp romance rut that it's starting to affect my desire to read at all. I finished
which had an MC that drove me batty with his over-the-top aggressive reactions to everything, and
which had an interesting enough cast of characters but was still pretty much more of the same old same old. Neither were bad, just didn't do me any favors to break the monotony.
Reading
to try and get a PNR fix but I may need a week of just YA or something to snap out of this!

Ha, that was me, I was book pushing this one because it was a surprise find and I ran right to the second book when I read it. Belkis liked it but not as much as I did. =)

Yeah, I am getting that feeling, too. I still love her writing, but this wasn't anything new. and the characters were not fleshed out enough, IMO.

Might need to go to paranormal.....

Yeah, they really ruined my love of the series at times, and others I liked what was going on enough to care...but not often! Lol
