Sorry to hear your day started bad Tasha but happy it got better. It is a sad feeling when you realize that you don't have a book with you.

Nitzan Schwarz (nitzanafterwords) I'm almost done with River Marked (Mercy Thompson, #6) by Patricia Briggs . Really loving it! I LOVE having Adam in 98% of the scenes *heart eyes*

I was always Team Adam. Samuel annoyed me in regards to Mercy. I never felt like he loved HER, more like the idea of what could be with her. He was using her. I love him as a brotherly/friend to Mercy, not a love interest. Glad he found someone.

Went to B&N this morning on a whim b/c I saw people posting that Confess by Colleen Hoover released early at some stores. Lo and behold, they had it!!! I'm about 3/4 the way through. I like it, but I'm not actually loving it. I have to say that Owen, the main male MC, reminds me a lot of Ridge from Maybe Someday (Maybe, #1) by Colleen Hoover . That's a bit disappointing.

Oh well she had a good run. I read Hopeless first and have not felt the same about any of the other books I have read from her. Don't get me wrong, I love her and I still like her books but they don't impact me the way Hopeless did.

I agree. I loved The Hopeless series and Maybe Someday. But the other books I've read just don't grab me as much. I liked Ugly Love, but it wasn't Maybe Someday for me (which was my favorite by her so far). And this one is not bad, don't get me wrong. I just don't see a big difference from the other books.

This is depressing, I'm in SUCH a bad contemp romance rut that it's starting to affect my desire to read at all. I finished Below the Belt (Worth the Fight, #3) by Sidney Halston which had an MC that drove me batty with his over-the-top aggressive reactions to everything, and Power and Possession (Reckless, #1) by C.C. Gibbs which had an interesting enough cast of characters but was still pretty much more of the same old same old. Neither were bad, just didn't do me any favors to break the monotony.

Reading Untouchable (Immortals After Dark, #8) by Kresley Cole to try and get a PNR fix but I may need a week of just YA or something to snap out of this!
