Tracy they had a great time. Yes, they dressed up. My 5 yr old was Elsa from Frozen and 8yr old a black cat. Extremely cute. And oh my was it cold. The wind was blowing really hard, too. But they had fun, so it was worth it.

Bridget | 1517 comments So I finished Tall, Silent & Lethal (Pyte/Sentinel, #4) by R.L. Mathewson . Very good. Another good book to the series. Now trying to decide what to read next. Maybe Push (Push, #1) by Claire Wallis or Sommersgate House (Ghosts and Reincarnation, #2) by Kristen Ashley .

That's good Bridget. I love seeing little trick or treater's. Our neighborhood has grown up but that hasn't stopped them from going out. However the cold did. It was freezing here.

I still say try Rosemary beach, but idk. Just might not be your thing.

Danielle (Danniegurl) (danniesreads) | 1326 comments I've been binge reading Anita. Blake, book 6 was by far the best in the series because she finally chose a man.....I'm in book 7 now. The moments with the person she picked in book 6 were great, but the rest of the book is eh. All I care about is the build up of the relationship. It took 6 books for that to happen, in some ways I get why because Anita was so anti monsters, but after a while it was a bit frustrating. Now she's more on par with explaining her thoughts that it helps a bit.

This is my issue! My standards have changed as I've read better and better books. I know there are books I've read that if I went back and read again, my rating would change. I didn't know then what I do now. So I can't imagine it will be different if I read her other books. Authors always have a certain writing style. I don't think hers is horrible. Actually, the writing was pretty good. But the plot holes drove me bonkers, and if she writes the same way for Existance, I'll be nuts. I don't want to have to DNF another book!

Totally agree on the growth of our reading pallets. I read the Existence trilogy a while ago and found it to be entertaining enough for me to finish the books but they weren't really great. But like everything, that's normal I think as we grow and read a variety of stories and authors.

This is a kindle question....can "ownership" of a book be revoked or rescinded? The reason that I ask is because something fishy seems to be going on with those Vincent Boys books. I could have sworn that I picked up a few books from that series as kindle freebies a long time ago. I never did get around to reading them, but they now seem to be missing from my kindle and from my cloud. Does this actually happen a lot? If so, how do I prevent it?

So technically you don't really "own" your Kindle books. Like, say Amazon goes under, those books will be gone. I haven't heard of them revoking ownership of books, but anything is possible, I suppose. Did you go to your Amazon account via a computer and check to see if it exists in there? I know sometimes I have to actual send the books to my Kindle. Not sure why that happens.

I think you have to remove the DRM to do this, though. You can't get them in there unless there's no DRM b/c you can't get them off Amazon. I have no idea how this all is done. I don't buy many ebooks, most of the ones I get are free from Amazon or I get from the author/publisher to read.

Quick question Mochaspresso, did you change your email? Or have different email addresses? The reason I'm asking is because I have 2 different emails for Amazon and when I buy an ebook even a freebie, it will only appear in the cloud of the email I used when buying it. So, the ebook will not be available in the cloud of my 2nd email account. That's for the cloud issue. Now if you just want to have a particular ebook sent to a particular reading devise then you just need to go into your kindle content>manage your devices. In there you can select any book and under "actions" choose which of your registered devices you want to "send" the book to. If all else fails you can contact the Kindle support and talk to them. Their customer service is great. I did have an issue with a book one time, same as you are having now, where I was 100% sure I bought a book but I couldn't find it in my kindle cloud and that's how we figured out that I had bought that ebook using my 2nd email log-in. They were great though and gave me a credit so that I could repurchase the book. They're great at Amazon.

I did have another different issue with a specific book that the author had been picked up by a publisher and so the book got a face-lift, and a price hike, and a different BIN ID# so the version that I had bought was going to get replaced. So Amazon sent me an email advising me of that and giving me the refund for my original purchase so that I could go and repurchase the new edition. Maybe that's what happened in this case for you with The Vincent Boys? It does have an updated edition?? But Amazon would've sent you an email letting you know. Unless, like I explained you maybe bought it using a different email & log-in and maybe you missed the email??
