I read a few of the reviews and don't think I would have liked this book so I'm glad I didn't read it.

I still need to read book 2 for this Tiana as well as the novellas which I also have sitting in my kindle. I'm just a bit hesitant after the ending of book 1. I need to be mentally prepared for the eventuality of anything bad happening to them. But now that I read you're looking forward to a spin-off I'm going to move up them up and stell myself to read them. I hope nothing bad happens :(

After looking into again last night I think that maybe it was just being offered as a bundle for a very short time at the .99 special price?? All 8 stories are still available but individually from each author. I really want to read them as they're all individual stories I had added to my tbr anyway so they should all be really good reads. If you get to it first Bridget let us know how you like it.

message 9318: by Victoria (new)

Victoria | 259 comments finished Wild by Alex Mallory and I really enjoyed it, yes there were some minor things that the main characters did that were annoying, but had they not made those choices there would have been no story so it was understandable- overall it was good. Cade was raised in the woods his whole life ( because his parents thought the world was ending)lives alone now that his parents have died, saves girl from bear and almost dies, has to be brought into society to get medical attention, etc. A modern Tarzan re-telling, but enjoyable and since I live in the Appalachian Mountains and know people who really do live in the woods and off the grid- it was believable to me- loved it :)

Yes, I'm like you, I don't read reviews. I barely read blurbs. Often I'll go by word of mouth and then I might read a few of the lines of the blurb to see if it will interest me. Laura (llbasaldua) | 790 comments He really wasnt a main character he was mentioned and but had no MC role on the other hand the guy she does end up with she was with to start with and end with. I thought what happened at 60% was OMG Shocking but not a real loss to the story. I cried like a baby at that part but you cant actually miss a character that you didnt get to know other than he was her BFFs hawt brother.

this book had so much love/hate on it its not even funny. Im on the Love side I think everything was handled pretty good.Maybe not necessary but still ..

If its the writing that stopped you from reading the book then you will be DNF a lot of indie books that have been picked up and now being published. Ive had errors in my Audios that say a different name Ive had errors in the PP books Ive bough so I guess its a matter of how much you can handle writing and grammatical style.

Since I didn't read it all now I'm totally confused. The part I did read had Chase (view spoiler). Again, I didn't get past 20% so I have no idea what happened. And, yes, the writing was not good, IMO. I had a lot of issues with it. Maybe it's better now that it's been picked up by a major publisher, but that's not the version I had, so I don't have anything else to go by. Perhaps I should go to the library and take a look at the printed version to see if it's the same!
