The avalanche continues. We're shooting our season 2 videos in two weeks. That means three days and 12 interviews.

We're posting the authors here so we can collect your questions!

Next up Hugh Howey

We're going to ask him some questions and YOU'RE going to ask him some questions. So what do you want to ask? Post it here.

Man, I need to think of a good question. Wool was one of my favorite reads last year. Which reminds me, I need to get to the others in the series.

Nancy O'Toole (temporaryworlds) | 135 comments Can he let us know anything about the Wool movie deal? I'm quite curious to see if the screenwriter will attempt to handle the novella format, or just get right to Juliette's story.

message 4: by Sara (new)

Sara (szoso) | 5 comments I am so excited he is being interviewed. I have read the entire series and as an avid reader of dystopian/post apocalyptic novels, Silo Saga has been my absolute favorite. The way Howey allowed us to view the inner workings of the Silo world and to learn the story from different view points was such a refreshing way to tell a story. The character growth, descriptions, and plot twists kept me intrigued. I have recommended these books to many people and am looking forward to new work from this up and coming author! Which brings me to my question, any hints on what is next? Are you currently working on anything?

Ben (bennewton_1) How do you stay disciplined in your writing process when something takes off in the way that Wool and the other Silo books have?

Does it have to evolve to reflect or accommodate the hugely increased attention and demand for your writing?

message 7: by Jason (new)

Jason | 5 comments First of all the whole Silo saga, especially Wool Omnibus was one of my favorite reads of 2013 and I love what I have read from Sand Omnibus thus far, so I am thrilled that you have gotten Hugh Howey for the new season. As a fan, naturally I have lots of questions:

Why do you choose to publish your stories in parts in all media (ebook I understand), instead of waiting for full novel, which we all know is coming? We have seen this with Wool Omnibus, Shift Omnibus Edition (Silo, #2), (Dust being to exception to the Silo books) and now Sand Omnibus.

You are working on putting the Wool story in a Kindle based graphic novel. How do you find it adapting to that medium?

Also, with the Silo saga and Sand Omnibus being both post apocalyptic, what draws you to this specific genre?

Finally, you have been very accountable to fans with word count meters and regular blog updates. Do you feel that this adds pressure for you, or perhaps keeps the inevitable questioning of next book releases from fans a bit at bay? I know many authors such as Patrick Rothfuss and Brandon Sanderson get bombarded with such things.

Ben (bennewton_1) What's the attraction to single-word titles?

Trike | 11190 comments I love the original cover illustrations to the Wool series. Once I read the stories I realized how clever they were. Who did those?

message 11: by Fiona (new)

Fiona (deifio) | 95 comments I know from experience that you answer your fan mail. How much time does that take each day?

Gordon McLeod (mcleodg) | 348 comments What is your favorite unexpected bonus or discovery from opening up your world and encouraging others to write in it?

Mel (booksandsundry) (booksandsundry) | 137 comments I absolutely adored the whole Silo series, and really respect how you developed so much out of a couple of short stories. I know a lot of authors start off this way but then rewrite their short story into the more complete over arching work. Do you in any way wish that you had done this instead starting of your first novel with the short stories?
