38% (view spoiler)[ Gosh I forgot how much I like that series! &What a creep that Durbin is! He would have been a really great teacher if he wasn't, you know, a "predator". IF he is that is. But, he's looking very guilty right now.

Does anyone else like Cabe more in this book? I do! xD And this is a much more interesting case than the drug ring of the last book.

Still think undercover high school students is old, cheap and stupid. A lot could have been done with the idea of dreaming people's dreams and the author chose THAT. Even though I'm REALLY enjoying the book. This just keeps bothering me. (hide spoiler)]

Finished it! (view spoiler)[ I love it. It made me love the first book even more. Even though I'm still not the biggest fan of the undercover thing, I think it kind of grew on me. It is my ONLY problem with it. I have no complaints. It's just awesome.

Now, WHERE is her mom? I mean seriously! I don't remember her having any lines during this book. I'm trying really hard not to judge her as a terrible mother because everyone has his/her own story. But seriously where the hell is she?!

I think I love this dream curse too much to let anything else in the book bother me though. And that it actually has a price. It's somewhat feasible you know? It's not just that it sucks to have it like other YA books. It actually has serious problems that you cannot easily get over. I mean blindness? I can't even imagine! Losing function in her hands? Like being blind isn't enough.

The party REALLY creeped me out which I guess was the point. I think I felt stronger about this case than the one from book one with the drugs.

Cabel is kind of a stupid name? Does anyone else think that? I always write Cable first before I remember and correct it lol

He's hot and cold. On and off. He always has good reasons I guess but he goes about them the wrong way. Thankfully Janie is not whiney. And the few occasions she was, she recognized the signs and stopped herself. I mean you can't help but whine sometimes, it's just the way it is. But it's also important not to be such a drama queen 24/7. (hide spoiler)]

I don't think I have anything more to add for now. My internet connection really sucks these days so I couldn't update as often as I wanted. Sorry guys.

miss Stubin appear in dreams?! She's DEAD! Is she a ghost? Is it in Janie's imagination? What exactly?

I don't understand why she keeps delaying the talk with Cabel. It's getting annoying.

Gone 100% (view spoiler)[ Finished! What a series! I really enjoyed it. Though Janie was a little annoying towards the end. Just delay and drama.

No one can blame her though. Her choices are just awful. And real life aweful not paranormal awful, you know? It's something lasting. And so... Anticlimactic.

She's just going to be a blind cripple for the rest of her life or die young of brain damage. No sacrifices or chosen ones. No dying at the hands of some evil faerie, werewolf, vampire... You fill in the blanks.

She's paranormal and dealing with normal. I like that. I could relate to that. And it's refreshing since it's either the other way round, you know, normal girl dealing with paranormal or paranormal girl dealing with paranormal.

@Aurora I agree. I'm glad you loved it. I think no matter how many things annoy me in the books, I would still love it because I just love the idea of dreaming other people's dreams so much that I wouldn't let anything else bother me haha

That series is actually the series that made me want to read this series.

Finished with Wake :) I really loved this book. I was able to connect with all the characters which is new for me. I like that it had a little of everything from romance to friendship to high school experiences. I found it was really hard for me to put down. The only issue I really had with this book is (view spoiler)[the parts where Janie and Cabel were constantly fighting, It was way to much drama for me. (hide spoiler)]

I feel like the whole Cabel thing did the same for me. I really started liking him towards the end. OMH! Visions is amazing. I cant wait for the third book to go out. Its alot like this series but it with visions instead of dreams.

No, not really. I mean it has some similarities, but there are other things that are different.

Yup, they are quick reads. My authoibook is 5 hours long, so I'm guessing reading this takes even less if you are a fast reader. :)

So, I've started Wake. 1/4 read:
(view spoiler)[I really dislike the way this story is told, the novel is written in 3rd person present tense narrative. It's really annoying. If it wasn't for the audiobook I would have never given this one another chance because of it.
Getting back to the story, it's interesting enoug and I like Cabel a lot. :) Janie is an ok main character as well. I can't say I love her, but she's not shallow or pathetic like most YA heroines out there ^^. She's actually doing her best to fit in despite her problem. I can't help but admire that. :) (hide spoiler)]

Ok, I'm not going to say this is the worse book I've ever read, because it's not, but I'm sure at one point in it's life it did get nominated for it, because this is a really bad book.

Besides the weird narrative this sounds like a story written by a 12 year old. Simple formulated sentences, no character development, no logical pattern to the story whatsoever. I'm really curious how did this book even get published to begin with? At some parts the phrases are oddly lyrical, like the author is trying to make them sound like poetry. It that it? Is this poetry gone wrong?

About the 2 main characters there's not really a lot I can say. This book was like watching a play. We don't really get inside their head. Also, if this was supposed to be a screenplay, it pretty much failed there as well. (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[The first quarter of the book was kind of boring, very slow and not easy to understand, but it's picking up now and is getting somewhat interesting.

I don't like the way the story is told either, it's very annoying! I was listening to the audio version at first too, and planned to read the whole book that way, but had to give it up because the narrator was annoying me a little bit. Not sure if it was the way she was reading, her voice, or if I'm just not in the mood to listen to a book right now. So I'm just going to read the print version.

Janie's a pretty good character and I liked Cabel a lot so far too. Cabel's dreams are very weird. I'm thinking that they have to do somehow with abuse, either him being abused or someone close to him. I hope to find out soon though as they are very bizarre. It have been hard for Janie to not have anyone to confide in about what she's been going through since she was eight, so I was happy for her when she told Cabel. I wonder what it means that Janie is finally having her own dreams now. That class trip she took sounded like an absolute nightmare, but I can't believe she didn't realize that would have been the case. A long trip very early in the morning, who wouldn't fall asleep?

I didn't like that we never really knew what the main characters were thinking or feeling, but then again I'm not a fan of when books tell you what happened instead of letting you experience it along with the characters. So that might have been the main reason I didn't connect very much with the book.

I found it strange that after Miss Stubin dies then she's helping Janie in the dreams. Was she a ghost? Or was it that she saw her in a repeated dream that Mr. McVicker had, one in which she may have helped him in before she died, and so she knew what was possible and then her subconscious mind thought her up to help her? The story was so complete rubbish that if it wasn't for someone "reading it to me" (aka the audiobook version) and by that forcing me to "read" it, I would have never finished this book. *sigh*

Why just die and tell her in her freaking testament, BTW, I had the same ability as well, but I was a bitch and decided to die without helping you in any way, just leaving you a message to tell you that "you can develop your ability". Such bullshit. Janie should go in hell and search for that damn old lady.
