I'm not sure what the book is called, who the book is by, the isbn, or the date published. However, I do know that this book is not a recent one because I think I read it three years ago (2011). Spoilers!
It's about a girl (vampire) and the book starts out with her and her friends. One of the friends,a guy, breaks a cab drivers neck with magic and the girl tells him to reverse it but be said he couldn't and acted lie, it was no big deal. She then remembered meeting an old woman that told her to find her if she wanted to live a different life. She finds the woman, I think somewhere in America, and leaves her friends. However, her friends didn't now and the guy freaks out. I think it's because he was getting power from her since she as a decendant of a powerful family , but Im not sure. The main character goes to the woman and she gets a jewel lof some sort that makes her untraceable. She also has a family heirloom necklace that she keeps safe in the heel of her boot. (I think).
The farm where she decides to stay has other vampires that chose to live a "good"/ "light" life as well. The old women is supposed t be the best of them all and still helps out. There, she meets a fgguy and the romance thing happens between them. However, there's another girl who likes that guy which leads to her placing a small curse on the main character. She also treats the main character badly. The main character does have a lot of power and uses that power a few times for harmless jokes on the girl. Ie something about moving the food a few millimeterst the side when she tried to eat it or something like that.
I remember the girl was sent to the old woman's sister when they found out that she tried to put a curse on the main character. The old woman also tells the main character that someone tried to track her. The ending is the main characters decision that she was not ready to see them yet (her friends) I think. Or it was a cliff hanger. I'm not entirely sure.
If you know this book, please help. It is not that famous and i can't recall the tittle. Fr some reason I've been thinking about this book for the past few days. Thank you.

This definitely sounds like Immortal Beloved by Cate Tiernan. It fits your description completely but they're not vampires, but immortals. It's a trilogy, and the second and third are called Darkness Falls and Eternally Yours. :)
