I went ahead and got it...and just as I was happily downloading it I realized that I broke my "No new books" rule that I added to my Series challenge...so I will now have to earn 500 points before I can purchase another book as the first 250 will have to cover this purchase. *sigh*.

Emily (ohmagichour) | 510 comments It's over 100 years old - hardly counts as new... :)

LOL! I like the way you think....And I did already have a previous copy so its not really "New To Me" either...hmmm

Emily (ohmagichour) | 510 comments Plus you bought it for a group read - even if it is a Buddy Read. :)

Kathy (bookgoddess1969) | 331 comments I would definitely be interested in a Sherlock Holmes buddy read! I've only read 2 stories so far, and loved them!

message 158: by Felina (new)

Felina I don't have a preference for when we start Sherlock. If you start it sooner than I can then I'll just catch up later.

message 159: by Paul (new)

Paul We can always split Sherlock up, as most of it is short stories and novellas. So people can always jump in later or join for some parts and not others.

Nyssa | 2023 comments Are you suggesting something similar to Narnia (every two weeks) or something even more spaced out (every month)?

Let's keep the buddy read scheduling discussion focused in the Be My Buddy thread, so folk don't have to look in two places for it. Thanks! :)

It's like...1000+ pages. Not that short. The short stories are short but when combined it's a little daunting.

Emily (ohmagichour) | 510 comments Oh I just meant the first one. :) They seem to all be small, easily digestible portions,

oh, yeah! My cop is showing the first one clocks in around 72 pages. Considering the small print...I'd give it no more than 100.
