Okay, so I finally finished this book! It took me a long time, that's for sure. But I think that was because there was just so much back-story and information, not to mention the confusing aspects of time travel, to keep everything straight. I had to go back and reread paragraphs several times to understand what was going on a little better.

I liked the characters a lot! I felt that Kate was a strong main character, even if she did make some interesting choices. She definitely had a lot of courage (view spoiler)[Like standing up to a serial killer! That was crazy! (hide spoiler)] I loved Katherine, and I also liked Connor.

So, I'm assuming this is a love triangle, and that it'll probably become more apparent in the next book. I like Trey, I do. But his and Kate's relationship seemed almost too fast. I felt like their romance was lacking a little, especially since we don't really see the development of it. It kind of got overshadowed by all of the back-story and time travel. Which, I wouldn't have minded, except they did fall in love and the (view spoiler)[ending was all about bringing her back to him. Since that was the case, I would have liked seeing more of their relationship besides movies, food, and him keeping her company in the house. All those times they hung out were just sort of passed over quickly. It didn't exactly make their love believable to me. (hide spoiler)] So, I'm more intrigued by Kiernan, and by his relationship with Kate. (view spoiler)[I want to know why she went to Boston in 1905! But she was older then, so I don't know when we'd find out? I definitely think there's more between them, that whatever feelings they had are still there (even if Kate is confused by them and can't remember because it hasn't happened yet for her). It became more apparent after Kiernan saved her from Holmes. I just wish we'd had more of that story-line in this one, but I'm thinking it'll become stronger in the next book. (hide spoiler)] His character is most interesting to me, especially after the Expo with young "Mick." :)

I really liked this book! It was just crazy confusing at times with all that was going on in the story. Haha.

Me too, Holly! Just finished :) Whew! The whole (view spoiler)[ serial killer thing was CRAZY. When they mentioned him earlier, I thought it was more for historical reference so I was somewhat surprised when he made an appearance! The author did so much research to pull it all together, although it makes sense know that I know she teaches history :) I'm really on the fence now with Trey and Kiernan because I thought the romance part with Trey was really well done toward the end. So clever with the DVD thing and I love how it was 1) Find Trey 2) Kiss Trey 3) Show Trey the DVD--in that order LOL! It cracked me up when she kissed him immediately, before that Trey even knew who she was! (hide spoiler)]

Overall, I really enjoyed the read, especially because I was reading with all of you awesome people!!

Another buddy read before second semester begins? I'd totally be up for that! :) I wouldn't be able to start until Wednesday night or Thursday, though.

Also, agreed on the ending of Timebound! I thought it was so cute and funny. :) I just felt like I missed the whole development of their relationship. After only those few weeks, I didn't see an ever-lasting love. But I'm leaving that up for debate once the sequel comes out.

I'm SO FREAKING BORED with this review book I"m reading (THe Lost Boys), I just have to force myself to read White Space--I started a library book and wasn't able to concentrate on it and only made it through 70 pages...WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME?! Yeah, a reread that I loved sounds good right now!

Aaaww, you're in a reading slump too. I'm doing a beta read right now, but was trying to decide what to read next. I'm bouncing around too. I don't want to do the beta read while I'm tired.

Whoa a movie? Cool!

Karen, I don't know if you'll like it or not. It's a contemporary love story with a time-travel twist. The time travel is fantasy-based rather than science-based (unlike All Our Yesterdays). Since you're not so hot on contemporaries, you may not like it.

It's decidedly a romance. Primarily. But wonderfully good - Jenny's right, I loved it!

Yes, check it out, definitely don't re-buy it until you make sure. Most of the sites store the info that you bought it already, so you just have to re-download it :)
