What are you reading in 2014?
I'm reading, or rather re-reading, Steven Nolt's A History of the Amish. An updated and revised version came out last year from Good Books.Marta Perry
I finished up "A Revelation in Autumn" by Wanda Brunstetter last night and started "A Vow for Always" and finished it this morning. Both great reads. Sort of sad I'm finished with the series. Now to find something else to read. Which I know won't be hard:)
I finished Plain Peace the 6th book in the Daughter of promise series & have started Hidden Mercies what i have read so far i am really enjoying as it not the typical Amish oneHugs Janice
I just finished
- very much enjoyed this book it is part of a series but I think can be a stand alone as I didn't like all of the series. My last book of 2013 was
And I look forward to starting
I had stepped away from Amish books for a good part of 2013, I am happy to be back.
I am reading Mail-Order Christmas Brides: Her Christmas Family\Christmas Stars for Dry Creek
Almost finished. I am still reading Christmas did not get to finish all last month and I have more time off work to do it now.
Some of the Christmas ones I am reading like this one are also library e-books and I did not get them in time to read them by Christmas. Maybe you have a better chance of getting them if you request them when it's not Christmas.
I am still waiting on

I just started
. I don't read a lot of suspense (although I do usually enjoy it) and Lynette Eason has come highly recommended. This book started off with a bang, so I'm definitely intrigued!
A Christmas to Die For by Marta Perry. Little late for a Christmas read but always good for light suspense in cold weather.:)
I've pre-ordered The Divine Secrets of the Whoopie Pie Sisters: The Complete Trilogy by Sarah Price and Whoopie Pie Pam Jarrell.
Not Amish, but a good series. I'm reading "A Step of Faith" by Richard Paul Evans. It's the fourth book in his "The Walk" series.
Sue Monk Kidd came to town recently and I got her to sign her new novel for me, The Invention of Wings. I'm nearly finished and it's a great read!
I am reading Handspun Hearts by Rachel Bauer. I'm also reading Playing with Poison by Cindy Blackburn and My Fear Lady by Rick Dewhurst.

I would recommend all of them.
Well, I finished my first Amish book this year.
1/23/14This is a well-written Amish novel. The characters are well-developed, and I enjoyed the storyline.
It had been a long time since I'd read it, so I wanted to read it before I started
, which I hadn't read before and which I'm enjoying a lot.

I can't wait either. Such a good series. I've read some other books by him also and enjoyed them.
Well I have "Mistress" by James Patterson to read this week, then I'm going to start "Plain Peace" by Beth Wiseman that I picked up Thursday night. I really enjoyed this series so I can't wait to read this book. However, the James Patterson book must be read this week because it's over due:(

Good review. Did you know there was one point when you accidentally referred to "Jessica" when describing "Lindsay"?

Hopeful: Return to SugarcreekI am reading hopeful return to sugarcreek on the kindle this was released earlier this month
Now while i am really enjoying this book i am getting the feeling i have either read this or a story so very much like this i had read the other sugarcreek books
That part that seems so familiar is a teacher called Mary Kate has come to the town after leaving because of a ex boyfriend now there a person who come to town not sure as yet if this is him but i know i read this storyline before i will know more if i am right with what is going on
Has anyone else read a story where a Amish lady leaves her home because of a obsessed ex-boyfriend who her parents think is great, so while as i said i am enjoying this i will be a bit miffed if it is as sort of rewritten storyline as i got this believing it was a new story
Hugs Janice
I will know more as i read but i certainly read a story with a very similar storyline if when i read on the guy who just came in to the story is the ex also if he possible stalks Miriam i can't remember the name of the book i read it in but i am getting that feeling as if i read the story but still am enjoying it Hugs Janice

Have any of you read from the YA Amish Temptation series? The titles are: Temptation, Belonging and Forever. They're published by Harlequin Teen and are about the love affair between an Amish boy and a non-Amish girl. Hi, I'm the author, Karen Ann Hopkins, and I'm curious to see if there is an interest for Amish story lines in the YA genre.

Hi, Karen! I've got the first two books in your series! I haven't read them yet (grad school and never-ending-reading-lists keep me busy) but I hope to get to them soon.
I actually met you when you toured with YeahYA and Julie Kagawa and Aimee Carter last year. You signed Belonging for me. :)

That's so cool, Brittany! Were we in Nashville or Memphis? Hopefully, you'll have some reading time soon. I wish I had more time myself.
We were in Nashville. In fact, you were the reason I went to the signing in the first place. I'm a big YA reader, as well as an Amish fiction reader, so I was super excited to see a series geared to both my favorite genres. :)
Please let me know if you ever come to Middle TN again! I love to get my other two books signed!

I am reading nothing Amish right now, I'm actually trying very hard to finish the James Potter series by G. Norman Lipert.
I remember you, Brittany! Are you on my FB (Karen Ann Hopkins)? I post all my travels there. I'll be at the SOKY Book Fest in Bowling Green, KY on April 26th. That's not too far off from Nashville, lol. I hope we can meet up this year!

I just finished A Plain Disappearance by Amanda Flower which I really liked. It was the third book in her series. She has a nice mixture of mystery, humor and romance. I hope to read more from her in the future.

Me? I'm nearly finished The Rose of Winslow Street by Elizabeth Camden, which is a compelling historical romance. Plenty of fascinating historical details and intriguing characters are making it difficult to put down so I can get the housework done ;)
