Hi guys,

So for those interested, lets all post a summary for this year? (Only when you are done with this year's books that is).

Sample of how it can look:

Book Goal? How many? Completed?
Word Goal? How many? Completed?
Big Challenges completed? Which ones?
Word of the Month completed?
Author of the Month completed?
Book of the Month completed?
How many E-books?
How many Paperback/Hardcover?
How many Audiobooks?

And anything else :)

I read 95 books. My goal was 80.

My personal goal was to read a book published in each decade since 1900 which I managed.

I completed A-Z author, character, location and SA book lovers as well as the Mishmash, Parasol Protectorate, Goodreads recommends, Meeting Old Friends, Deserted Island and Grimm's Fairytales challenges.

Favourite book of the year: Howl's Moving Castle
Most memorable: A Tree Grows in Brooklyn or The Tea Rose
Favourite new author: toss up between Ben Aaronovitch and Gayle Forman
Favourite challenge: Deserted Island
Favourite bookstore: Daunt in Marylebone High Street, London and the Oxfam charity shop in Braamfontein.

Claudia (claudiavstoomanybooks) | 1779 comments I had a goal of 80 books in the beginning of the year, which I then lowered to 60 because of too much work and too little reading time. But in the end I still managed to read 81 books, yay!

Favourite book of the year:
Not a Drop to Drink by Mindy McGinnis

Best "discovery" (new to me author/series):
Fire and Thorns (Fire and Thorns, #1) by Rae Carson Crown of Embers (Fire and Thorns, #2) by Rae Carson The Bitter Kingdom (Fire and Thorns, #3) by Rae Carson

Memorable reads:
Ancillary Justice (Imperial Radch, #1) by Ann Leckie Cinnamon and Gunpowder by Eli Brown Rose Under Fire by Elizabeth Wein

Favourite challenges:
Parasol Protectorate
Word of The Month
(I didn't finish all the words, nor all the parts in PP, but I had fun participating!)
