What Really Happened In Peru:

The Rise of the Hotel Dumort: (view spoiler)[ I found this novella to be a bit boring at the beginning of the story. I did really like as the story progressed. I loved Magnus and his secret bar. That is the typical Magnus that everyone loves. As the Hotel Dumort is well known because of the TMI series, it was a good look at how it began. I give this novella a 3.5/5 rating. (hide spoiler)]

The Fall of the Hotel Dumort: (view spoiler)[ It's not the usual fabulous, bright and shiny Magnus Bane we know and love. Nevertheless, I love him. It's the Magnus who, even after literally all these years, still has something for the woman he loved and was with once upon a time, Camille. It was interesting to see them in this story and understanding the mind of Camille as well. I give this novella a 5/5 rating. (hide spoiler)]

Vampires, Scones, and Edmund Herondale - Finished (view spoiler)[ I listened to the audio on 2x speed so I got it done super fast in one sitting. I agree with the mermaids, that's the first I'd heard of them. I thought it was okay. It wasn't great like TID or TDA or TMI, I like Magnus but he's not my favorite. I don't like I like him as much as everyone else. It's weird to see Camille being nice and girlish, from was I remember (and it's been a while) she was terrible. I might have missed something about the timeline listening to it fast, but for someone who didn't really believe in love, Edmund fell in love pretty fast. I don't know if I like Edmund. Maybe it's just that these are so short but I don't really feel anything towards any of the characters so far except from what I've felt about them in the other series (like Magnus, Catarina, Ragnor, etc.) (hide spoiler)]

I really loved the first story of him in Peru! I really had to laugh at some moments and as you say, you get to know the characters a bit more. It was more like a complete story because a lot of things happened.

I wish we got to know more about that creepy pretty girl Grace... Don't know what happened with her. But I REALLY loved seeing the TID characters. I NEED more stories with them, I really hope we see a lot of Will and Tessa and Jem in The Last Hours, I know we see James and Lucie but I REALLY REALLY want more Will (if that wasn't obvious enough, lol)

Yeah, there were definitely spoilers for TID in Midnight Heir, I have no clue if there will be more so it's really up to you, but just in case there are, I would recommend reading the other series first.
