Well I had no time to read yesterday. Today we have a Superbowl party! Have to leave for that in 5 hours or so. I am trying to read one book at a time from now. This is my one current read at the moment! (:

So sorry everyone. I am in a huge reading slump and I can't seem to get out of it. I am going to try and read a fluffy light contemporary to get me out of it. I think I have a few in mind that I may want to read but if you have any recs they would be much appreciated!

For fluffy light contemporaries, I think most of Susane Colasanti's books would be good. Sarah Dessen's might work as well, but some of them aren't as fluffy (Dreamland definitely isn't fluffy). Stephanie Perkins' books are good and pretty fluffy. is a cute and fun read. is a fun read. Another really good and fun read is . has a really adorable romance.

I don't know which one of the ones I mentioned would help to get you out of a reading slump. I tend to read quite a few darker contemporaries, so I went through my contemporary shelf and picked out some of the lighter ones.

I've read through chapter 25 now. I think this book is really good.

Claire (view spoiler)[The scene when she died was really sad. I was hoping she would live, and I'm sure her family was too, so it had to be heartbreaking for them when she didn't make it. (hide spoiler)]

Dex (view spoiler)[What he did to Dinah was awful. He isn't like the guy I thought he was at the beginning of the book. (hide spoiler)]

Brooks (view spoiler)[He seemed really caring and kind to Dinah after what happened with Dex, and after Claire's death. I wonder if Dinah could be wrong about him. (hide spoiler)]

I finished this book, and I thought it was really good. I thought there were some pretty emotional parts, and, I don't usually cry while reading, but some scenes made me tear up a little.

Dex (view spoiler)[He was awful. He hurt Claire, and he did it while using someone else's name. He would give anyone's name to get himself out of trouble. I'm glad Dinah found out that it was him in the end. (hide spoiler)]

Brooks (view spoiler)[I really liked him. He didn't deserve anything that Dinah did, and I loved the scene at the end, when they "met" each other for the first time. Things got so messed up between Brooks and Dinah, but I think they would have made a good couple if all this hadn't been going on. I'm glad things were fixed for him. I would have felt bad if his dad thought he did all those things when he never did. (hide spoiler)]

Chandi (view spoiler)[I was surprised to hear that she and Jordan were a couple. I, like Dinah, had thought she was with Brooks. I think she and Dinah could have been friends if Chandi had been her true self from the beginning. (hide spoiler)]
