Basically the idea of buddy reading is simply to read the book at the same time as someone else, and discuss it as you're reading it.

Once you've found someone who wants to read the same book as you, work out a date that's good for both of you, and then create a thread or use an old one - we have a 'how to' about threads here - https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

Mine is 80 although it started at 100 I had to lower it because things got in the way

This year, I decided to set no official goals, as they tend to stress me. However, I did set a goal for myself, to see if I can get 36500 pages read (100 a day). So far, I'm at 106/day, so I'm doing good! :) I've read 64 books so far - some of them are children's books though, so it might be more like 60...

I want to read 100 books at least this year, this doesn't sound like a lot but i have worries about my college work so i can't really read but i have lots of books i want to read. Also i want to read more dystopian and a lot of the books I have on my bookshelves

I set my reading goal to 17 books at the beginning of the year. Yes, I know it´s not much here where people read like 200 books but I´ve already read 20 this year.. I´m in the middle of two and have a pile of books to read. We´ll see how many I´ve read after six months.

Since I started using goodreads all the time in June 2014, I started my goal of 50 books. Hopefully I will reach it and go for a really high goal next year.
