Specific romance, model in a car crash

I'm looking for a specific book, a romance. In it, a young woman is in a car crash caused by her husband. She's disfigured and she loses sight in one of her eyes. Either she was a model before or she becomes a model after, or maybe a TV star, it's been way too long since I read it.

Possibly invisible monsters by chuck palahnuik? I haven't read that in years and years and years, but this sounds like exactly what you're describing. Is the model disfigured because her jaw is partially blown off in an accident?

Unfortunately no :( This one was a straight up romance, LaVyrle Spencer, Nora Roberts, that kind of a thing...
