Enjoyed this book

I actually enjoyed this book very much. Alice was in spin class and fell and bumped her head and lost 10 years of her memory. I just loved how the author took you through the love she had with Nick and she couldn't believe they were getting a divorce and it seemed to all revolve around her best friend Gina. As she was going through this I kept getting angry at this girlfriend Gina for causing such grief but then it was like why would you let someone influence you so much and there are always more than 1 side to the story. Both Nick and Alice were at fault for their relationship falling apart so I think it would be useful to a lot of relationships to go back to the begining and try to understand why it fell apart and own some of that.

I really enjoyed this book too. I wanted to keep reading to find out what had happened to Alice and Nick because their relationship was sweet to begin with. I liked how there was a good balance between humour and the more emotional parts.

I adored this book! It was the first one I had read by Moriarty but I instantly felt that she would be one of my new favorite authors. I just loved her style so I was excited to get my hands on The Hypnotist's Love Story. It was okay, but not as great as Alice. Then, the Husband's Secret was even worse- I didn't really enjoy it at all. Quite disappointing :(

I feel the exact same way! This was my first Moriarty book as well, and I LOVED it! So I read the others by her and, sadly, they didn't live up to this one. They were ok but I wanted to love them too.

I really loved this book for all the reasons others gave. It really made me think about how you can improve the quality of your own life and relationships by not focusing on all the ways other people may have disappointed you.

I also really liked how she showed a situation from multiple perspectives. You could see why Alice felt alienated from someone else over time, but you could also see why they had done the things they'd done.

I thought the book posed some interesting questions. We all know that with time we change - our hobbies, our likes, our interests and even the person/place/thing that we expend the bulk of our attention to. I closed this book and had to ask myself why? Do we change because we want to? Because it is the direction that others pull us? Is change inevitable? And which individual do we like best? The before "life" self or the "after life lessons" self. I also loved her book "The Husband's Secret" and thought it, too, raised some very emotional, ethical questions about trust, honesty and forgiveness.

I was out of town and went into a shop to buy a teddy bear and the lady behind the counter was reading it - we got talking and discovered we enjoyed the same authors and books, and as a result I bought a copy and the rest is history (as they say!).

I also enjoyed this book and love this author. She seems to get better with each book. I enjoyed the family theme. This book made me think which is always good. :) I absolutely felt the magic of their beginning relationship and
so wanted them to work it out. I liked Madison because she wasn't perfect. On the con side it could have been a tad shorter as it felt stretched, but all in all, a really good read

I just finished this book and enjoyed it. I had previously read The Husbands Secret and liked What Alice Forgot a bit better. I thought the characters were pretty well fleshed out. I enjoyed the children as well as each had their own personality and she made their speech and actions very easy to get a feel for them and picture them in your minds eye. I will try her other books as well.

Awesome book!! Love Liane Moriarty's work. The Husband's Secret and Big Little Lies were equally good! The Hypnotists Love Story was alright. The Last Anniversary I was unable to finish.

I feel it's easy to relate to Liane's books, I think the whole busy mum, life with school age kids theme that get me. Would be interesting to see what we would all think of our lives if we were suddenly unable to remember 10 years, how would we look at what we've made of ourselves? Not that I'd ever want to find out. But I think I'd be damm proud of myself and where I'm at. I started with The Husband's Secret, then read Big Little Lies, and just finished What Alice Forgot. Loved them all. I find it interesting that each of these books revolve around the stories of three women. I just looked at the descriptions of Moriarty's other books, and they seem to follow the same pattern. Doesn't mean I won't read them! Just sayin'.

"What Alice Forgot" is my all time favorite out of her books that i have read. Her epilogues always leave my mind spinning. I really enjoyed "Big Little Lies" as well. I wasn't too fond of the "Husbands Secret" or "The Hypnotist's Love Story". They were good stories i would still recommend them but the other two are fabulous.

This book is the best written story that I have read in years! The story line moved smoothly and quickly along. Loved it!
