message 365: by Davina (new)

Davina | 154 comments Ok so in January I read one from my favourite genre which was The Beast Within The Beast Within (The Beast Within, #1) by Melissa Crowe and one of my new releases Tesla Tesla by Mark Lingane . And today I just finished How to Ditch Your Fairy How to Ditch Your Fairy by Justine Larbalestier also a favourite genre. I have enjoyed all of them even though two are aimed at early teens How to Ditch Your Fairy and Tesla. And the other one The Beast Within seemed so short.

message 366: by Belinda (new)

Belinda Hi Brenda, quick question. Could I class a novel from the "Urban Fantasy" genre as my Fantasy genre novel??? Finished What Remains last night and I think it would fit well in this category :P

Lol! The way I keep tabs Dale is by creating a bookshelf in GR, calling it '2014 AA Challenge'.

I haven't creating one yet for this year but created one for 2013.

Did you do an original post, listing your reads for the year? If so you can cross them off and count them as you go. I like Mish's idea though:)

message 372: by Dale (new)

Dale Harcombe | 6879 comments No, Brenda, I only did the ones as I read them as I never make up my mind that far in advance. Mish's does sound a good idea. just don't know if I have time to track back and see what I've read. Not to worry.

OK Dale, here is what you've read so far this year for this challenge (not in the order you read them though):

The Best Australian Poems 2013
Deeper Places: Experiencing God in the Psalms
God's Panoply: The Armour of God and the Kiss of Heaven
Unforgivable
Sweet Damage
Ember Island: A Novel
Firelight of Heaven
Grace's Table
The Celtic Stone
Falling for the Farmer

I bet you didn't realize you'd read so many! Well done:)

Now you can put the shelf Mish suggested for each book, and add the rest as you read them:)

message 374: by Dale (new)

Dale Harcombe | 6879 comments Brenda and Mish you are gems. Thanks. Knew I'd read a few. I will get around to setting it up later today I hope.

True Dale and we are very lucky, we've got some amazing talent :)

I haven't started on mine yet. I've got my 12 books all picked out but I need to get through a few ARC first.

But once I have them read, I'm ready to go with this challenge :)

Davina | 154 comments I finished Blood Song Blood Song (Lharmell, #1) by Rhiannon Hart last night. It was one of my debut novel books but it would fit into Fantasy or female. Here is my usual short and sweet review.
https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
It comes with a warning and a request for forgiveness. I sound like a gushing fan girl over this book.
