History
Savannah was born and raised in Trier, Germany. She was raised mostly by her Spanish mother, since her father was always away with work. Once he actually was at home most of the time, Savannah was 6. Her mother, soon after, gave birth to her younger sister, Annaliese. While Annaliese was always outgoing, with lots of friends, Savannah was independent, spending most time in her room, reading, writing, or drawing. She discovered her power when she was 11. She was frustrated, as she was distracted by the next door neighbor's music. After desperately trying to read, she flipped. She was about to open her window and yell something into theirs, but without warning, she watched as their power went out and the electric box in the backyard caught fire. Shocked, she retreated to her room as the fire department came. Wanting to know more about this newly found out power, she tried to make the light bulb in her lamp to go out. She concentrated, but she couldn't do it. Angry, she eventually forgot about it. Out of nowhere a few weeks later, she was simply talking to her mother when all the lights when out. Savannah knew that somehow it was her, and when she finally made them come back on, her mother and father(her sister was away with a friend) were standing in front of her with a surprised expression. Her mother was saying something about thinking 'the people' were kidding, and her dad was frantically searching for something. As Savannah stood there, shocked, her father handed her a letter. The letter. When she was 12, she boarded the train and left for Baldiver. She still loved her family, despite sending her away for the safety of everyone around her that was...normal. Personality Anna is a wanderer. She loves learning new things, exploring the world, and discovering new places. She's very independent and has a hard time opening up to others. She has learned to rely only on herself and places her trust in a select few. She is restless and impatient and needs to be constantly on the move. Some believe that she is ADD, but she's not. Biography Anna was born in Kiev, which is where her parents met. Celine Bertollete was a young artist from France and Adam Piper was a history professor from Russia. The young couple got married once they found out they were pregnant. Once Anna was born, they decided to travel. The family never stayed in one place for long but they discovered many new places and experienced many adventures together. Trying to keep Anna's powers hidden and controlled proved to be harder than they had thought. Over the years there were many close calls. Anna inherited her powers from her father's side of the family, although he himself had none. There were many nights when Anna would try to run away to protect her parents from herself. Anna felt very insecure about her powers and was frightened about what she could do. Her parents were extremely supportive of her and loved her no matter what happened. One night, in Syria, Anna's parents went out to dinner. On their way home they got into a car wreck and were killed. Anna was alone and afraid, left in a hotel room in an unknown country. She was fourteen when it happened. Terrified and alone, Anna spent the next year running. She eventually made her way back to her birthplace, Kiev, where an old family fried was. She was then sent to Russia where her grandmother lived. Still traumatized by her parents death, Anna didn't trust her grandmother to tell her about her powers. One rough night though, Anna accidentally let it slip that she was gifted. Her grandmother then revealed that she too, had powers. The two bonded and became very close. Anna had extreme difficulty controlling her powers and Roslyn didn't know what to do, so they found the academy. Anna was reluctant to leave her grandmother, but she knew she needed help, thus, she ended up at Baldiver Academy.

Appearance: Beck's tall and skinny, with relatively short hair, but not close-cropped to his head. He has dark hair and eyes and skin, and he wears square-rimmed glasses. His dress choice usually sticks to what most teenage boys wear - sneakers, jeans, and t-shirts. For a person who is six foot three, he has rather small hands and feet, and big ears. Beck jokes about his appearance a lot, saying that he looks like spaghetti. His muscle mass is also kind of pathetic, but he's also that guy who girls hate because he can just keep shoving food into his mouth and still be skinny. He does play basketball and hockey, though, mostly because he was forced to by the gym teacher.
Personality: The first thing you could say about Beck is that he is exceedingly lazy. He tries to choose the easiest classes and will constantly put off work for as long as he possibly can, and because of his hypnokinesis he'll probably be doing assignments between the hours of three and six in the morning. Speaking of the power, he likes it rather a lot, because he can function on less sleep than normal people have to, and he can also put other people to sleep if they're tired enough. Beck likes jokes, but these jokes usually come in the form of a) self deprecation and b) sarcasm. While he's not exactly self-conscious, he's not the most confident guy in the world, either, and there are several things that he dislikes about himself. He acts self-confident, however. He acts like the most confident guy in the school, and he'll attempt to befriend whoever looks like they need befriending.
Beck tends to flirt a lot with people. Usually, it's boys, because he likes boys more than girls, but he flirts with girls too - but only ones he likes, because he doesn't want to be that guy and lead people on. Also, Beck is kind of a nerd. He finds history fascinating - mostly military history - but nevertheless, he likes it and finds it easy to do. Beck gets frustrated easily, with people and things, and this shows in that he'll end up snapping at people and cursing at various things he has picked a fight with.
Beck is the type of guy who names his electronics, though the names never stick. While he has a lot of friends he probably doesn't consider anyone his best friend and thus isn't too close to anyone. And he's never actually dated anyone long-term, even though he's had a few short high school flings. Beck's not good at giving advice, and a lot of the time he has the tendency to put himself before anyone else. Consequences just don't occur to him.
History: Beck was born to a single mother on April 15th. His mother was a lawyer and she never really had time for him when he was young, so he spent a lot of time roaming around his neighborhood himself, becoming independent at a young age and talking to the other kids. He was an only child, so the kids in his school were the only kids he could talk to, and by the end of first grade, he had befriended every one of them. He was kind of a disaster. Beck was a smart kid in some areas, but he caused trouble around the classroom, and in other areas, he just wasn't doing anything.
Eventually, Beck was put into a school that balanced the abilities of kids. This did not make Beck feel good, even though they told him he was a genius in history. In response, he put the sleep-deprived teacher who was lecturing him to sleep. Oops. His abilities went unnoticed through most of his school years unless he lost control, and it was in his freshman year that things went awry. In high school, back in the regular stream, he was not at ease, and he found his math class to be difficult, so he accidentally put his entire class to sleep while yelling at the teacher. That was when he realized, and his mother explained what had happened to him. Beck was irritated, but he allowed his mother to transfer him, yet again, to a special school - Baldiver Academy. He spends all the time he can with his mother and his friends at home, and continues to visit his old school just to prank the teachers. Thankfully, he hasn't gotten in trouble for that - yet.
Ability: Hypnokinesis. He can put people to sleep, and he can also sleep and wake himself up rather easily. Also, he never feels tired if he doesn't want to (but he does get tired; Beck has collasped from exhaustion several times, because he has not noticed that his body is completely out of energy).

Appearance: Young, freshly bloomed from pre-adolescence can look younger than her age and is often dismissed for a child. She has long straight brown hair, Green eyes, is small (5’0’’) but still growing. Caucasian with skin that tans deeply when effort is applied but gets pale when indoors to often. Thin but naturally so, long face and thin arm and legs just hasn’t filled out yet, excuse the obvious but she is ‘willowy’. Personality: Quiet, reserved, bookworm, gentle, loves nature in all its form. There is an air of pride and regency about her which is one of the few things that belies her age. Another is her eyes they look old and you get a sense of decades she has yet to live yet in them. She moves gracefully but is easily swayed or distracted by things. But those moments are few and you get a sense that the older side of her personality is just forming. More childlike and familiar to her is her weird sense of humor, finds odd things funny laughs at what seems like nothing some times, she is also quick to anger and pride which causes embarrassment and shame at not being good or smart enough to keep up with people or conversations.
History: There is very little history she has grown up with extended family in the heart of Colorado ranchland. Raised primarily by an aunt who had a few brothers and sister who all had kids, so there was lots of cousins around, but no parents. Her father the youngest brother dropped her off when she was very little (2 perhaps 3) at his sisters and left to find something, but never came back. She was mainly ignored in the cacophony of kids but of the monarch, or great-grandma, of the family noticed willows growing powers and has sent her off to a school to learn control.
Ability: Phytokinesis - manipulate and generate leaves
Definition: Phytokinesis is the ability to control the growth of and summon plant life, as well as causing a dying plant to become healthy or cause healthy plants to die. Applications: crushing vines, semi-sentient plant constructs etc; poison-control, plant-mimicry etc; empathic link to plants; knowledge of medicinal plants, toxic plants, exotic plants; ability to drain energy from soil / sunlight (photosynthesis)
Her abilities at the beginning when school starts are only to be able to move leaves in what seems like a breeze but with no wind. She can make them fly, slow and fast, and can offensively direct them at people to hurt them. A secondary power is she can nurture growth of a leaf on an existing tree; control its life cycle from start to finish. Also she does in fact seem to gain energy from the sun although she may be unaware of the ability as she spends long hours indoors and feels drained as a result. She can play with her pendent making the leaf grow and reverse growth and change color at her will she does this idly when she is not paying attention to anything.
Other further powers that are associated with phytokinesis is still yet undiscovered in her as she does not fully grasp the extent of her powers. This explains why she is at school.
Charm/Pendant: A leaf on a necklace with two stones; a clear quarts pendent gem and moonstone (sun and moon). Leaf appears solid and metal like an intricate working of green tinted gold and silver, frozen and motionless, dangling on its chain. But to those who have eyes that see the mysteries of nature it is full of life and movement, translucent but catching and absorbing the light throwing back only that spectrum of green reserved for the brightest summers day. Leaf is also ever growing and on any given day depending on her mood it can appear as small as a freshly emerging bud or as a fully grown leaf outstretched to the light and blowing in a gentle breeze from nowhere. It also reacts negatively, curling and withering up when afraid or drained, drying up or becoming hard a sharp when anxious or angry. All these changes are as unnoticeable as trying to watch a tree grow or flower bloom, changing over hours and days instead of seconds or minutes. Charm often ends up wrapped about her wrist as much as around her neck, even appearing in her ponytails.

Personality: Oftentimes Aidan can seem like two different people. He tends to come off as a bit of a jerk with a sharp sarcastic wit. The average "bad boy" vibe. But once you get to know him you realize everything else is just a front. Aidan can be really sweet and loyal to those he cares about and, even though he doesn't act like it, he believes in following the rules and is a total bookworm. He gets very good grades despite his lack of education. Because he was taught mostly by books he's amazing at English but gets mostly Cs in Math. He can be pretty easily embaressed especially when talking about his background and is rather shy around girls. He also has a very odd slapstick kind of humor from growing up in the circus despite the fact he wasn't always happy there. Some things that really set him off is when people try to push him around or others around.
History: Aidan always considered him self to be a bit different from the other kids growing up. He had a fairly normal childhood. He did well in school, liked his teachers, had lots of friend, etc. He was an only child with younger parents and at when he was 10 years old his mother was pregnant with her second child. One night he had a vivid nightmare and woke to the smell of smoke. He had set his entire room up in flames without meaning to and he quickly broke open his window and escaped. Firefighters came and took him to safety but they couldn't stop the flames in time and the entire house burned down along with his family. Not wanting to be sent to an orphanage, Aidan ran away and quickly found a place for his ability when he joined a circus. The people there didn't question his ability and he worked behind the scenes to make their acts work.; whether it was fire eaters or tigers jumping through rings of fire. He kept up with his education- mostly teaching himself through books. As he grew older the more he hated working for the people he was. Without them he'd be put through the foster care system and he didn't want to live that way. The circus folk needed him and constantly blackmailed him to keep him in line. He eagerly accepted the letter to the academy hoping for a new start but wasn't sure that he'd be able to live up to their educational standards. He's had a lot of practice using his abilites small scale but was too afraid to do anything but simple tricks mostly because of the trauma from his childhood.
Abilities: Aidan has pyrokinesis, the ability to manipulate and control fire. He can cause fire to appear if he tries but he'd very reluctant to do much with his powers.

Roni can be very intuitive at times due to the fact she's an introvert most of the time. Although some people can bring her out of her shell to enjoy things like parties she tends to be happiest with a small quiet group of people. Her telekinesis flares up at odd times, sometimes because of her emotions and other times it just happens. Roni is an optimist and she loved helping others. She can be sensitive at times but most generally isn't. She takes criticism very well.

Roni has always had significant trouble controlling her telekinesis. When she was a toddler she began showing signs of having the ability. Her parents panicked unsure as to why she could levitate or even transport things around the house. Other than that Roni lived a happy childhood doing ballet, making friends unaware of how different she was. That changed in middle school when her powers got harder and harder to control. Her parents would have to lock her in her room and hope her telekinesis didn't break down the door. She knew that she was a burden to her family and tried to leave on multiple occasions but was caught every time. She received the invitation last year and has been working hard to keep her abilities in check, although she's learned a lot about her abilities she still finds she isn't very good. Actually lily, can I make my character Willow younger, say 13 or 14 I wanted her to be youngish but I didn't have a good idea what age groups were acceptable so I just made her slightly younger then everyone else was making them. I want to make a second character much older kinda survivalist/independent almost adult type and I want there to be a more noticeable age gap. History:Abandoned as a small child to the wilds by a vague memory of a mother, she used her powers to stay hidden, afraid of everyone from that time forward. She learned how to fend for herself, scraping for survival between the wilds and the few remnants of a town there was. Had to live on her own for a long time using illusions to head people off and stay safe. Her rough life and appearance stem from being unable to use her power to gain her food in the wild. She had to learn how to survive on her own, feed and shelter herself. Illusions do not keep your warm at night or create you an easy meal in the wilds.
One day she met a hermit who lived in a small cabin and noticed when she stole some drying meats. He tolerated her presence for a long time before trying to talk to her. By then she was near eight years old and curious about people. The man started talking to her and leaving her food, eventually gaining her trust and she has lived with him ever since. He helped her regain her voice and taught her to read and write, eventually giving her a full education both schooling and life/woodman skills as best he could when he found that she absorb everything very quickly. She started going into towns for supply runs when she was a teenager, again curious about people. It was during this time she learned how to best interact with other people and that both good and bad exists in everyone.
On day he informed her that there was nothing left he could do for her and he gave her instructions to attend Baldiver Academy. She packed her bags and came here, highly skeptical that this place would have anything to offer her. She stays only because it lights the small flame of curiosity that has stayed kindled in her since before her abandonment.
