Personality: Marshall is a time bomb ready to explode at the smallest of things. He's always angry, and his nasty attitude keeps people away from him. He always has a slightly hostile look on his face, and he's not afraid of authority.
History: Marshall had it hard. His father left the family when Marshall was young, and died mysteriously. His mother was terrible, a cranky old lady who yelled all the time. But Marshall loved her, and he worked to support the two of them. He grew up in the ghettos and back streets of the darkest parts of the darkest cities. At 14, his mother was killed in the crossfire of a gang shootout. Marshall was devastated. He tried to take his life, but failed. He joined a gang at 15, and stayed loyal for several months. The gang mistreated him, and he grew up tough and vicious. It was rumored that Marshall had killed a gang member when the man had tried to beat him. He was thrown out of the gang, beaten and left for dead. Marshall survived, and lived a life constantly moving. He roamed the country, trying to find his place in life. On his 16th birthday, he was arrested for assault. Marshall couldn't take it anymore, and he attacked with power he never knew he had. Lightning poured from his body as he raged. No one was killed, but the officers suffered severe electrocution and burns. Marshall was eventually contained, and taken to prison. He stayed for three months, then received a letter saying he was wanted in a private school. Marshall agreed instantly, wanting out of prison. Little did he know he'd be going from one prison to another.

Marshall's cross pendant was his father's before he'd dissapeared. Marshall felt that it'd keep his father close if he wore it, so that's what he did.

Also, Matt and Marsh have history together. They'd met up at a department store, and Matt had tried to help Marsh out of a jam. Things had gone wrong, and Marsh had gotten caught, leading him to finding his powers. Marshall always blamed Matthew for him ending up in prison, and swore he'd have revenge.
