Janice (jamasc) | 59907 comments I know that feeling. I started to feel a bit dragged down in Slick. Now, I'm all re-energized with Mickey. :)

Janice (jamasc) | 59907 comments I think I could have more room on mine if I took some of the "meh" books I've read and give them away.

Laura (apenandzen) | 3367 comments Let's hope they'll be purrfect (unlike the O's yesterday), lol! Enjoy, Judy!

Laura (apenandzen) | 3367 comments Yeah, more O's on the All Star team than any other team - in the American League, at least. It is good to see.

Cherie (crobins0) | 21536 comments I think it was a slog for everyone, Judy, but there were some good parts too. I liked Bro William too. You might catch the movie version w/Sean Connery if your library has it. It wasn't too bad. What I thought was interesting was the setting.

Mariab | 3059 comments Yes. I know most people found those descriptions about philosophy and history a bit too "academic", but I enjoyed it a lot (I´m weird like that, I´m afraid). Many critics said there is at least two books within The Name of the Rose: One lightly and one heavier...

Yes. You could read the lighter version omitting completely the other stuff, and you wouldn't be missing nothing from the main story

Rus, I only gave it two stars. I read your review, you make some good points."

Hmmm... who's review did I just read then? Off to read yours properly. Glad you enjoyed it one star more than me then :P

Tejas Janet (tejasjanet) | 3513 comments Interesting comments about Name of the Rose. I must say I don't think I'll bother reading it any time soon. Too much else higher on the list. Good to know tho.
