If I don't read them next year, I doubt I'll ever read them and that's why I decided to challenge myself that way. It's easier - at least to me - to achieve a goal once I set it in writing and share it with other people. :)

message 77: by McGee Magoo (new)

McGee Magoo I have read a lot of Lisa Kleypas books, but not all of them. I've resisted reading her contemporary--so far I've only read Christmas Eve at Friday Harbor. and somehow I've never read the Hathaways either. I looked at the books of hers that I haven't read and I think I will read one new LK book a month.

Jan- Mine Till Midnight (The Hathaways, #1) by Lisa Kleypas
Feb- Seduce Me at Sunrise (The Hathaways, #2) by Lisa Kleypas
March- Tempt Me at Twilight (The Hathaways, #3) by Lisa Kleypas
April- Married By Morning (The Hathaways, #4) by Lisa Kleypas
May- Love in the Afternoon (The Hathaways, #5) by Lisa Kleypas
June- Sugar Daddy (Travises, #1) by Lisa Kleypas
July- Blue-Eyed Devil (Travises, #2) by Lisa Kleypas
Aug- Smooth Talking Stranger (Travises, #3) by Lisa Kleypas
Sept- Brown-Eyed Girl (Travises, #4) by Lisa Kleypas
Oct- Rainshadow Road (Friday Harbor, #2) by Lisa Kleypas
Nov- Dream Lake (Friday Harbor, #3) by Lisa Kleypas
Dec- Crystal Cove (Friday Harbor, #4) by Lisa Kleypas

With the exception of the other Friday Harbor one that is coming out in Sept, it worked out to exactly 12 that I needed to read. I'll probably read that new one in December when I finish up the Friday Harbor series. But, who knows, I may feel a re-read of my favorite LK historicals are in order! I already want to re read Again the Magic and Suddenly You (my favorite)

June (ladyjune) | 39 comments For 2014, I plan to be an armchair traveler, I'm going to read books that took place in all over the world :).

For now I plan to read:

I Shall Not Hate A Gaza Doctor's Journey on the Road to Peace and Human Dignity by Izzeldin Abuelaish a memoir from a doctor in Gaza Strip
The Shadow of the Wind (The Cemetery of Forgotten Books, #1) by Carlos Ruiz Zafón set in Barcelona, Spain
If Wishes Were Earls (Rhymes With Love, #3) by Elizabeth Boyle set in London, England
The Lost Sisterhood A Novel by Anne Fortier set in Africa and Greece
Constance by Rosie Thomas set in Bali, Indonesia
The Ghost Bride by Yangsze Choo set in Malaca (I think its Malaysia now)
The Lowland by Jhumpa Lahiri set in Calcutta, India
The Pickup by Nadine Gordimer set in South Africa
Caught by Lisa Moore set in Canada
In Cold Pursuit A Mystery From The Last Continent (Valena Walker, #1) by Sarah Andrews set in Antartica
The Other Side of Us by Sarah Mayberry set in Australia

Still looking for good books from Scandinavia, Eastern Europe, and South America, any recomendation? I like variety, so I don't really mind the genre, but I prefer not to read YA or NA, not my cup of tea.
