SOLVED. YA novel-girl boards in a dormitory at some academy/high school/uni [s]

I read this book a couple of years ago and if I remember correctly a girl has just joined some kind of high school or university or something and I don't think people like her very much. She gets with this guy, I think his name is "Seth" but I'm not sure. The only thing I remember for sure is that at some point in the series all the girls in the dorm are gathered into the changing room or something and they all have to stand there naked while the popular girls write ugly and things like that all over them. After she's written all over the main character goes and meets up with her boyfriend and he crosses out all the things that they've written on her and writes "beautiful" over them.

Kate Brian's Private series is a boarding school series, and the main character Reed Brennan is not real well liked at the start. She gets together with a guy but I think his name was Thomas. It's been so long since I read the series that I can't remember much about it, but maybe look into that one.

This sounds familiar to me, but I would have also read it at least 5 years ago so I'm not sure. It might be one of the Upper Class novels, The Upper Class is the first one. I think I only read the second one Miss Educated, where the main character gets together with a guy named Chase.
