Marnie, you have some fabulous books here! I love Wilke Collins andOlive Kitteridge has been one of my favorite books since it was first published. You have a knack for picking winners!
Thanks for all your kind words ladies. I've already swapped out books in my Road Runner section. I was going to play this section by ear but I enjoy the planning so much I couldn't help myself. North and South is a group read in another group,in May, so I fit it in here too. Love a double dip book.
@ Mari- it seems I can't read anyone's list without wanting to swap more books - :)

Haha!!! I know exactly how you feel!! I've got at least 10 chunksters in the house already, and I go to the bookstore and pick up 2 more this past weekend! That makes 12 in the house now. I think I've got a problem, lol!!
I finished Roadrunner's . My favorite of this section is definitely Lonesome Dove- I loved it! Now to compile my Tasmanian list.
I keep hearing that Lonesome Dove is good. I think it's mostly from this group actually! :)A Beautiful Blue Death is the start of a really good series. I really like Charles Lenox.
Always fun making up a new section, congrats!
Charles Lenox is just stuffy enough to be adorable... :) I did drink a lot of tea while reading it. I loved Lonesome Dove. I would read a part then watch a bit of the miniseries- which was also good but the book was better ( of course).
Yep, stiff upper lip and can't say what he feels but quite fun anyway. And he doesn't quite ever make it on vacation....I thought he was a better version of Lord Peter Wimsey myself.
Congrats on reaching your third milestone Marnie!'Lonesome Dove' sounds really good. I have added it to my wishlist.

I had lots of good reading!!"
You are having great luck with all of your four and five star reads.
Congratulations on your Road Runner badge.
Wooohooo... or should I say Beep! Beep! Congratulations on racing through Roadrunner's section.I'm adding Lonesome Dove to my wishlist. I enjoyed the movie, and I've read one of Larry McMurtry's books, only so long ago I don't remember. I just remember that I enjoyed it.
I think you will both like Lonesome Dove- Lisa and Janice. I have been talking about the book with lots of people while I have been reading it and have yet to find anyone who didn't love it. Happy reading " y'all ." :)
Congratulations on completing Roadrunner's Marnie! :) Seems like you had some fantastic reads again.
I just noticed your 6 stars on Lonesome Dove :D ! I loved it, too! I read it many years ago, along with my parents. The story & characters stay with you, as so many great novels do.
Marnie wrote: "I'm on a chunkster slump. My last few reads have been so-so. I may need to mix up my list...again."I haven't been keeping up with the individual threads. You are trucking, lady! Congratulations.
Sorry to hear your last few reads haven't thrilled you, but I guess with a few duds factored in, the good ones are able to shine even brighter! I hope you get back on track soon. I'm in awe of your speediness!
Through Tasmanian Devil I have read:11- 5 stars
15- 4 stars
5- 3 stars
2-2 stars
Pretty happy with my books so far.

If I had to pick I guess I would say The Woman in White because the entire time I was reading it I thought " I can't believe I've waited so long to read you."
